Question about the amount of appliances for this nbr.

I noticed that one nbr has total 18 appliances at lvl 54 while I have 12 units at level 49. At lvl 50, I will get another one so it will be 13 and i don't think that, from lvl 50-54, i will have aplliance 1 new unit per 1 lvl. How can he has 18 units with 4 lvl higher than me? I need more appliance units. Thanks

They bought appliances with gems 24 gems each

I was wondering something similar. I have a nbr with 60 appliances at level 99. I am at level 87, and it tells me that I am maxed out at 24 appliances...????
