Well, it's almost here! The Great BS Update Date! It is almost Memorial Day, so get your grills fired up to celebrate the unoffical beginning of summer! TL isn't adding summer-related content JUST yet, but I suspect we will be seeing it soon. This week, the new teasers are from DW. Welcome the Taxi Cookies to your bakery soon!

While the ingredients are being packaged, let's talk about our hopes.

Try driving to/from the west end of San Fernando Valley on the 101 then north/south on the 405 in Los Angeles during Fri evening traffic. Or even worse...take public transit *anywhere*. Public transit from the west end of San Fernando Valley out to Pasadena...typical 1 hour drive becomes 2.5 hour bus/subway trip. When I was living in LA I once read a news article about a guy who was hard core about taking public transit to work to be environmentally friendly. His trip normally took him 3 hours one way, multiple bus switches and then they changed the schedule for one of his buses, increased his transit time to four hours. So he gave up and started driving to work---THIRTY minute drive! My first apartment was five miles from work--25 minute drive no matter what route I tried. So I moved to 1.5 miles away from work to get my commute down to just under 10 minutes (driving, more if I rode my bike or walked which I sometimes did--but not in summer heat). Driving sucks hard core in LA, but public transit is several times slower. At least you have a faster/easier public transit system in NY.
