I probably didn't help my iPod's battery by obsessively playing RS for the first 6 months or so that I had it, for hours every day, but it does seem to me that Dragon Story rather eats it up.
I tried putting it on full Brightness, then went into Dragon Story and the battery lasted about 90 seconds.

Problem with my device, or is DS rather power-hungry?

It's most likely your device. That app cannot drain your battery in 90 seconds. It's not possible.

I have not seen any more battery drain with dragon story than any of the other games.

Yikes 90 seconds take it to the store to get it checked out

Granted I've been playing more, but my battery does seem to drain much faster too. But no where near as fast as what you're talking about. I just have to play with it plugged in now.

My iPad battery still lasts all day and I've been playing DS too. I think it's your device.

Went to Google Play to download DS and check on my Android device, but couldn't find it. Sorry.

Apple Stores aren't so prominent in the UK as I imagine they would be in the US.
Anyone know if there is one in Bath or Bristol?

Five seconds and a Google search produced: UK Apple stores (http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/storelist/)

Oh and there are two in Bristol and one in Bath according to my quick glance.
