does having more than one register mean more customers? or is the place only going to have a certain amount of customers per minute and having to registers will just split that number among the two registers? thanks.

It will just split the number of customers between registers. If you have a second register it will only be used, if you have your store
separated into two bakeries.

I bought a second one and stopped using it because I never saw any one stand in front of it, they only went to the first one.
