If these are the regular goals, like FSS has, then I think the point of these goals aren't for veteran players so much as for newbies. Which, I think is a good thing. And you get at least 2 Gems out of it, to boot. If theses are "seasonal" goals, then I'll have to agree with you on that...

Yeah I think they will pop up after that still stuck there 3 more hours on expresso.... I hope more of the goals reward gems

If you already have some white tables in storage, you have to place them all out, then buy one more to complete the goal.

I was playing the valentine version and I didn't get the goals so I downloaded the new updated regular bakery story. Right away I lost 80,000 coins!!! They didn't fix the coin bug.

So I have to give up doing goals until TL puts it on the valentine version.

so far none of the goals require you to spend gems. You can skip for gems, but that is only an option.

It does make the game far more interesting and more of a point to play. However, these types of goals should be automatically included when someone first downloads the app to get them into the game. There should be a seperate, constant stream of goals for higher level players. Preferably, to help level 96+ to feel like there is still a point to playing. Am currently 99 and waiting for another level cap rise :-)

For reference: the new Goals require version 1.5 of Bakery Story (the newest update on iOS). No Goals for Android (yet).

Be sure to complete these if you can... completing these Goals will give you access to new Goals in the future!

I think the goals are cool and all but there should be some goals for higher level players because we've been playing the longest so we are at the point where gaining new recipes based on levels no longer exists so .. it can get a bit boring lol

The expansion is the only one that rewards gems I think. Unless there are more goals that I haven't unlocked yet. I'm baking the peach cobbler right now.

I don't appreciate my honesty being questioned. I DID UPDATE TO 1.5. I have the vday version still installed also and maybe that's what you saw. But yeah, I obviously wouldn't say I already updated, fully knowing you could see otherwise if that had been the case.

I ended up restarting my device, and that brought up the clipboard but nothing pops up when I tap it. It highlights for a moment and stays that way. So whatever.

You need to take them all out, and then buy new ones. Sadly for me, I have about 70 white tables and chairs... Luckily I finished that one already.

I think it takes the number of neighbors you already have and makes you add 1.

Positive feedback
1. Rewards- I felt the coin reward was high enough to make it worth it for me to spend coins to complete the goal. (unlike the last goals in fashion. Where we had to spend more coins to complete the task that was the reward was worth.) Thanks for acknowledging that we are capable of simple math problems :)

2. I GOT 4 GEMS !!! Enough said.

3. Aunt Loretta was cute. But I gotta say she looks just like "Fairy Mary" from the Tinker Bell movies. It's like you copied them.

Negative feedback

1. I completed all the goals in 9 hours (I think I completed them... I don't have anymore). The last restaurant goals took WAY TOO LONG. These were fun and quick but now I kinda want more (I definitely want more... It was fun and easy and I got 4 gems)... But there gone. Can you find the in-between ground.

Or is that how you do it... First give us fun easy high-reward goals... Then when we think we like goals... Stick us with those horrid 4 week long, cook 50 burrito, cook 50 MORE burrito TOURTURE goals?

Please don't think we're gonna fall for that again.

My feedback is I really don't like having to add neighbors to complete a goal. I have enough neighbors and don't want more. Yes, we can delete them after we meet the goal but it's still a pain and simply using someone to fulfill a goal which is not how I want to treat people.

I do, however, appreciate the reward of 4 gems, thank you. I'm sorry Android players still don't get goals but at least they're not missing out on new recipes.

Same here, DaojeanWildfire. You wrote that I wasn't running the latest but I was when the coin loss happened. I too was running both Valentine and the new version: that's how I was able to tell I had the 80,000 coin loss!

Feedback on new goals...Regarding the Place Settings goal, I have 77 white tables and 77 white chairs in storage. I placed one of each into the Bakery, but it didn't fulfill the goal. I put them back into storage, and clicked Buy inside the goal itself, to see if that made a difference. Nope. The game still won't tick off the white chair and table. It did, however, register the 4 Counters portion of the goal.

Yes, these goals are aimed for those starting out. Didn't realise they would be short lived, as I have finished my goals already!! When can we have our old goals back?? I agree with the post above.......having goals, makes the game so much enjoyable.

Ugh goals again. They never get these right. I'll not be updating until they change "buy" tables and chairs to "have" tables and chairs. Then it will count what you already own and you won't have to buy more. I have over 100 white tables. I refuse to have to pull them all out just to buy more that I don't want in the first place.

Feedback:

Since the quests can update to see " x amount of counters" and fulfill that step, maybe the same can be done for those of us who already have a stock pile of tiles both placed in the bakery and in our inventory.

Sure as DAmanding suggested there are tiles in a color i have never bought, but i do not want them either. I shouldn't have to spend my money on items i do not want when I already have over a 100 extra tiles sitting in my inventory. :(

Yeah it's annoying to pull out these chairs and tables, BUT you actually earn the coins back after the purchase. In the end it's just extra tables and chairs (no loss to you) and you can always sell them. ALSO, I've gotten 4 gems so far. No bad.

You can buy tiles you don't already have. Surely there is some color you never bought?

Trust me. I have every coin tile that exists. At least 50-100+ of each. The only tiles I have less of are the gem tiles and who's going to buy 17 gem tiles just for a 1000 coins reward? Not me. I'm saving gems to get an extra appliance slot. So I suspect that goal/task will get done when I do a new redesign.

On the other hand, if I could SELL my tiles or otherwise dispose of them then this would not necessarily be an issue. I could get rid of the 130+ white tiles I have that I hardly ever use :)

Yeah they were easy but I think it was dw who said we need to complete those so in the future we can do more.....but hey I can't complain about 4 gems

I opened a new account on my old ipod to try it out. Trust me its just as easy for someone who started right off the bat as for an older player. In fact its easier because you don't have to pull furniture out of storage to buy more and buying new tiles and wallpaper to go with the expansion the goal asked for in the previous step was a no-brainer. The money earned (after they fixed the reward bug) exceeded the money spent so it was a bonus there too.

Went back to do the one goal where you had to make coffee (coffee cost 30 coins reward 750 coins. Worth doing) but now I'm stuck with the one I posted above and this one.

I had to fully delete and reinstall twice to get the goals and I also deleted Valentine version - don't know if that may any difference or not, but goals finally showed up - however, hadn't received the new update with new stuff to buy yet.

I didn't do the math at each stage, but there were stages at the end where the reward was double the cost involved. The full completed set of goals netted more money then what was spent even if a few apparently don't.

Are you sure about that? I mean there are a couple in there that may earn gems. I earned one gem already which was pretty nice. I shook my head at that chair and table goal, did it anyway just because I didn't want to feel left out. lol :p But I drew the line at the 17 new tiles.

You should do the goals you get 4 gems on them

There may be an issue with the Place Setting goal, as it doesn't seem efficient to remove all White Table and Chairs to buy a new one and place it. If I had to guess, it was intended to record your progress when you place the item, that means buying a new one or removing an item you already own from Storage. I'll forward this issue to the team so we can review it. Thanks for the information!

It is in the best interest for high level players to complete these goals, because they will probably unlock more goals don't the down the line when they become available.

1) Since I'm at Level 55, it was extremely easy for me to complete these goals. However, even though they were easy for me, I felt that they were easy enough to complete for someone who recently started playing. You don't need to have 62 neighbors. It takes the amount of neighbors you have and tells you to add one more.

Goals are only for iOS. If you're on iOS, download the manual update for the regular version. I'm pretty sure it isn't with the weekly offer.

I got the goals last night :) I did many of them and earned some gems! I was working on tipping some more tables for a goal just now and then went "home" my clipboard of goals was gone :(
Has this happened to anyone else? I was making some choc cookies for another goal and served them but it didn't count. Fun while it lasted, although I had tons of white tables in storage I had to put out to purchase some more,. lol the things we do for entertainment.

If you lost 24 gems it could have been spent on one of the gift boxes due to accidental tapping. Check your floor item inventory and see if there is anything there you don't remember buying.

For one, I like how you rewarded us with 4 gems:cool:
For two, this seemed like a good way to start off new players.

One thing I didn't like was having to bring out all my tables and chairs from storage and putting them out just to buy 2 new ones. Same thing with tiles and wallpaper.
Another thing was having to add more neighbors. I did not like that.

Just suggestions now :)
I would like to see new goals unlocked as you get to higher levels. Like we have a list of goals and say we are at level 42. The next goal could say "this goal unlocks at level 45." or something like that. And as we unlock more goals, they become harder.
Would like to see this :)

And you don't have to level up to buy a new one. Levelling up just increase the amount of appliances you can place in your bakery.

Hi! You don't have to sell any appliance in order to get a new one. Just store it when you need to change from one to another.

Unless you have a good stockpile of parts, you might want to swap those out and build just one at a time. Otherwise you might be sitting with appliance boxes for a couple of days waiting for parts to come in. Once you put an appliance box out you can't store it, only sell it until after you finish building it.

Sigh I'm not doing anymore of the goals. I got one that said to add a new nbr which was fine as I was already inviting a nbr for Pet Hotel so it worked out fine. But now I have another one that I have to add another nbr. I don't want anymore nbrs :-( and I'm not using gems to skip it. I'm just not going to do them anymore. Wish they didn't make adding nbrs part of the goals. At least I got some free gems before I came to that part of the goal.

But, it was definitely a hassle putting out all my basic white chairs to buy another. The option should have been to buy any chair. Lower level players can choose the white chair on their own if their coin count is low.

I can't get past "A Friend Indeed" where you add 1 neighbor. I've added neighbors in different ways, including through the invite button in the goal dialogue box. I force-quit the game, restarted my phone and tried again. My bakery is level 80 and I have 270 neighbors. So far I have added 4 and the goal will not complete. It also has a box saying 92%, and I can't figure out what that means...

The new goals are even better for the old players. They can finish it quickly , like an hour or less. You'll get extra gem if you can finish few goals in a row quickly.

You have to pull out all that you've already got in storage and then buy more. Or buy ones you've not bought any of yet. But if you're like me you don't want to buy those, if you did you'd have already bought them.

This is why I strongly wish they would simply require you to "HAVE" these items and not "buy". This way if I already have them they get counted and I don't have to buy more of something I don't want.

They fealt like a tutorial, way too easy even for new players.....but then again 4 Gems and the extra coins are always welcome.... (btw I am not asking for Hot Chocolate again you could mix it up)

Feedback:
I suggest the having to buy white table and chair when you already have more than 20 of each is a bug.
Also having to buy any chair and table when you already have more than 40 is also a bug.
From the comments I saw, some people didn't have enough space in their bakery to place all their tables in order to buy more!

Also, having to buy tiles and wallpaper when you have already bought more than 17 tiles and 2 wall papers (more than 100 and about 25 at least, respectively, for me) is a bug too!

Us older players have already paid the coins to buy all these items so it wouldn't be like we get through goals for free ;-)

However, it was nice to have goals again and the fact that we earned 4 gems was good! :-)

That's what we need TeamLava! Goals that need coins and tasks to complete and that reward us with coins, XP and Gems!

Also, can you please bring back the goals that unlock the valentine truffle chair? I don't mind waiting until next February, but please bring them back next year, 'cause I was new and didn't realise I could store appliances to place more of the ones I needed for the goals...

By the way, to the person who lost gems: I had some gems disappear from bakery story and also fashion story and after investigation they were returned. So if you genuinely didn't spend them yourself they will bring them back hopefully!

I enjoyed the goals. This is the first time I've seen them (don't know if they've been there before, only been playing for about a month) and I thought they were fun. However, I just wish that they lasted longer, were a little bit more challenging, and only gave out gems as a prize. Coins and XP are nice, but they aren't as hard to get as gems are.

Something weird happened to me yesterday. I had finished the goals so the clipboard went away but when I got to level 50, they came back. They were all of the same goals and that wasn't the weirdest thing that happened. I pressed on about 5 of them and they said I didn't do them, but then the processing thing comes up and after it went away, all of the goals had the checks on them which means I finished them and when I pressed on them, they would flip around and then flip back. It couldnt stay flipped. I exited and force closed it and when I opened it again, the goals were gone again. I think this was a glitch but it was sooo weird. Has this happened to anyone else? Sorry if I confused all of you

The Place Setting goal has been adjusted. It is now easier to complete the tasks. The new tasks should now require you to "have" 4 White Tables and 4 White Chairs.

They were definitely simple and some aspects were irritating like getting temp neighbors and pulling out old furniture to buy new...but overall I'm glad I had them. It was an easy way to get four gems and it added some interest to the day. With a few minor tweaks like the one Daojin says has already been done I think its great!

Don't forget to fix the need to buy new tile/wallpaper too Daojin...some people don't have the option to buy new tile/wallpaper because they can't pull enough out of storage to buy new.

It would be more helpful to fix the wallpaper and tiles (than the tables and chairs). If we have enough wallpaper to cover all our walls, we don't have the option to buy more. I have the max wallpaper in 3 colors, same with floor tiles. Some people might get to the point where they have ALL the wallpapers in ALL the colors and not be able to complete this goal.

If we have too any tables and chairs we can sell them... We can't sell wallpaper and floor tiles.

The updates roll out, you'll either receive it on Thursday, or the following Tuesday. Level, device, OS, etc have nothing to do with it. It can happen with one game, and not another. http://forums.teamlava.com/announcement.php?f=68
You can receive the limited time offer, and not the update. On Tuesday, you will not receive a pop up saying you have new items, they will just be in your game.

nice to have goals, even if some of them flashed by so quickly that I didn't even know what they were. These were more suited to new/ lower level players. How about some goals for higher level players, like new goals for level 40, 50, 60 etc. Since the valentines goals went I lost most of my neighbours and am getting rather bored

Of course the goals were simplistic for me, and I didn't really want to add more neighbors or buy more tables, chairs, wallpaper, or floor tiles, but I do have to commend TL for making the rewards worth it. Giving us 4 gems was really generous, and the amounts of coins we got for most of the goals was much more generous than in the past. Also thanks TL for not making any goals that required gems.

I think the goals are too easy even though they are aimed at low level players.

It would be great with new goals that start out for the low level players and gradually become more difficult to finalize, so there's also fun for the medium and high level players. It's quite all right it takes looong to finalize all goals as it is much more fun to plat when there are goals to complete.

It's a decoration item that costs coins, it's in the design tab under floor decorations :)

I was used to the more complex and taxing goals in the Valentines edition of BS, so these seemed a bit tame. But ANY goal is better than no goal! I liked being able to earn a few gems, too. Keep those goals coming, TL! It keeps the games interesting!

Try visiting their bakery and tipping them. For the first set of goals, this happened and I had to visit them first :)

The same thing happened to me, you have to either buy tables that you do not have any in storage, or put out all the white tables out out on your bakery floor,then buy the 2 tables. Then you can put the white tables back into storage.
