Through the otherwise pitch black, a few street lamps glowing in the distance, with a light on in a house a little bit away.

By day, the huge garden at the back of the house:D.

Wow, some of these pictures look like where you might go on vacation! Beautiful!

Here is my "normal" person backyard. The trees don't have buds yet. The grass is patchy. The weird metal "cage" looking thing is a gazebo without the top on, it's not warm enough yet. You can't see my planter in this photo, my husband planted it for me last fall; it's full of 3 kinds of irises, peonies and hostas (all just buds now).

Ha... ha... ha... why are almost all of these backyards so pretty?! :( mine is a normal, small backyard with a fence and trees and some embarrassing graffiti done by the previous owner's children... soooo, i'd rather not take a pic :p

I'd definetly agree but I can confidently say I lose lol. I don't live in my apartment for the view. I live here (Thailand) cause its dirt cheap which leaves me more money to transfer over to my savings account, buy gems and most importantly travel which is my favourite thing to do :-)

^^^ i am familiar with burglar bars too. Lol. So familiar.

I wouldn't live here without the bars. My front windows if I open them face the hallway. People walking by to their apartments could look in my room if I kept them open which I don't. The front ones have bars to. People here use them to hang up their laundry. Even the back windows. I've lost track of the items of clothing that have fallen onto my balcony, including men's underwear. I use a clothes rack. It's a tight fit on my balcony but I don't lose my clothing lol.

sourlicorice2

In the picture they are using the bar that goes across but the people above me hang them on that and the other parts of the burglar bars.

You should try flinging them back up from the end of your broom handle. Get them wet first then they'll fly further. Like a game. That's what I'd do.

I wouldn't live here without them because of the stupid criminals! :-/

Wet or dry the clothing wouldn't get through the bars. They'd probably just fall down even further. I wonder what they think though. They hang up three pairs of underwear and get back only one. Lol. They probably think there is an underwear thief in their building. If only they knew. Lol.

They'd figure it out if their underwear was paper mached to their bars.
