Discarding food

Is it totally crazy to discard some food sometimes...I don't want 100 counters and it takes forever to get rid of some things, so I threw out a bunch of things that only earn 4 coins. It doesn't seem like I'll ever run out of food now but just wondering if there's a good reason to never get rid of any.

I've thrown out food before but not on purpose. It's usually just when I'm redesigning that I accidentally store a counter

I've been tempted to since some foods slow me down but I've never done it aside from accidently storing counters with food on. I was thinking, maybe if I wanted to take a break from the game, I'll still have tons of food and have the bakery going ..

It didn't work on my iPhone :( too bad because I hate having like 200.000 shamrock cookies that will never run out!

Are you maybe still using the valentines version? I'm using the regular version and the quick sale just won't work, I've tried several times :(

It worked for me using the valentine version for iPad and iPhone. The counters of food were so massive at both my places. Now back to square one of building up food again.
