The two birds I used to have until I changed jobs and moved closer to work so I wouldn't have to travel home in rush hour.
I had to find a new home for them cause there weren't many apartments to choose from and the best one where I live now gets no sunlight and is always in the dark. I couldn't leave my birds in the dark all day. I miss them and want to cry every time I look at their pictures but at the time I didn't have the time or right place for them. Now I have the time but not the right place. They are in a big aviary now with lots of space to fly around in. At least for the bird (Hulio) on my bed. The other I rescued as someone had released it on the streets but they must have had its wings clipped cause it couldnt fly. I don't believe in clipping a birds wings.

I'm sure they will. I hated giving them up but it wouldn't have been fair to keep them in the dark. Sigh if I could have seen the future I wouldn't have gotten them in the first place. I don't have any pets now and not going to get any either. May be once I go home to Canada for good. (I live in Thailand right now) ill get one then if I have the time and place for one.

Yes. My ten year old makes a ****ing catching them with a net and selling them to our family and friends. The gold fish swim right into your hand to get a piece of bread. That is only a part of the pond. My other son is the family photographer. We have 4 fish ponds and we like to swim with the fishes and the dog haha.

This is the stray dog that lived under the school dorm that myself and other English teachers would feed everyday. At first she wouldn't come near you but then one day she actually came up to me and let me pet her. After that she'd come running tail wagging to myself and three of the other English teachers. One of the teachers bought flea and tick shampoo to bath her but she had to get my help cause even though peaches (one of the others named her that) would roll over for a belly rub etc, she'd growl if anybody tried to pick her up except for me. She would let me pick her up no problem. Unfortunetly during a weekend the owner of the school had her taken away. Boy were the English teacher ticked off as we didn't know till we came back on Monday to find her gone. Anyways about a week later one of the teachers found her but peaches had gotten sick from eating from garbage (they just dumped her far up the street). The teacher took her to the vet and the vet got her better and found a good home for her. The school ended up paying the vet bill cause we raised more of a stink after that. I would have taken her in a heart beat if I'd had the time and place for her. I miss going into school and saying hello to her :-(

At my apartment I have 1 Dog (Tux - Yorkie Poodle mix) and 1 Chinchilla (Kirby).

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread before...
I have two cats, currently.

and a variety of birds in the backyard... the mourning doves nest build nests in the most unsafe places; the mocking birds tease the cats mercilessly; the finches fly back and forth between the two finch socks; and the red-breasted robins and the blue-colored birds (not jays!) fight over the bird bath. They're not pets, per se, but they keep me and the cats company when the girls are at school.

Oh, and the cats catch lizards that the girls want to make pets... we tried adopting one but he died two weeks later even though he seemed to enjoy his short life with us. He was a pretty big Western Fence lizard, and they don't live long to begin with, so I am guessing the cat trauma and age were the main factors. He was well cared for, fed live spiders and insects that he seemed to enjoy eating, and kept out of reach of kittehs while he was with us.

I want a dog. The girls would like a dog, too. The cats... well, one wouldn't care, and the other would probably spend the rest of her life under the couch.
So, kattybell... how far from the middle of California are you? lol!

Maryland is nice! have lots of friends there... but yeah, a bit far to go pick up a puppy.
and yes, live spiders. I don't mind spiders, as long as they either stay outside or are being fed to other pets... except black widows and brown recluses, but they're rather reclusive so I don't run into them much. :p

My son has two ferrets. One's a sweet angel & one's a playful surprise attacker. Both like to open drawers, climb up the backside and pop out the top one. Three of my FS neighbors have ferrets too. They're addicting.

I don't have a pet but we are looking after my brother's bearded dragon. The dragon got really sick, not eating or moving. We thought he'd died. When we saw that he'd moved we started intensive care. Baths, baby food etc. Had to invest in a heat pad and UVB light. He's now eating crickets and managed to get out of his tank and make it half way across the before he was caught.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

She's a poodle/Shelti mix - and actually the reason I lost so many of my farm story neighbours because since I have her I play very irregularily and barely ever reach 2 stars...:o Why bother with pixels if you have the real thing sleeping next to you on your couch?;)

Yes they've been dewormed. It was something viral. The girls I have (2) are great. We had everyone on antibiotics.
