My game is not letting me place my ferret or American Eskimo

I just finished building my ferret bed and I placed one and bought the mate with no issues. iphone 4

what animals are you not able to place?
the ferret you have to construct the bed first , then you first ferret shows up.
the American eskimo, you have to wait for the bed to be built, then your first one will show up.

What is happening when you try to place?

Also, what device and version are you on?

I just tried about ten minutes later and it worked but thanks for helping right away
