How do u move floor tiles. Game won't allow me to pick up tile currently on floor

How do u move floor tiles. Game won't allow me to pick up tile currently on floor

You have to place a different color tile there first (try using concrete or that other tan option that you initially get when you first open - forget the name of it, but these are the ones you should have in stock). Once you do that it should put the new tile color back into your inventory x1 where you can place it wherever you want. The game doesn't allow you to move existing tiles around.
