Can't build new appliance

Im on level 37 which says I can buy a new appliance but when I select one it says HoorY build Sushi bar with nuts and bolts with the help of your neighbors it does not place the box in my Restaraunt to let me request parts from my neighbors, what is going o

I think you're clicking the I button which gives you information on it. Try clicking at the top than place it.
