Um! The Magic box section said that the Bubble clutch was An Unknown ranking! I'm pretty sure it's 4th & I'm pretty sure that the Strapless dress is 2nd prize! I remember opening the box and getting the Bubble dress for 1st prize! I might be wrong but I just thought that was what they were when I opened the box!:)
I also think that the Shoe tree on the holiday gift box was 2nd Prize & the Sleigh couch was 1st:)

No offense bht it was a pretty dumb choice to sell your Pillow Stack. Always know that if you get a gem item you'll always get coins in return.

when you buy the buy, you are paying 24 gems for ONE random item. It is a gamble and you do not get to choose which item you will get.
I suggest to look at the items for the groovy and suprise box and make sure you will be happy with one of the common items, because you have a higher chance of getting a 4th place item.

The makeup counter isnt from a box. You can purchase it for 36 gems on the last tab under design, but Androids cant purchase it yet.

Anything is possible I've never gotten the same item 4 times in a row. It's a gamble when you open any box there are no guarantees if you will receive the item you want, or how many multiples you might end up with.

Sorry... In my opinion boxes are not speacial no more because you never know when items you tried to get a lot of times and got what you didn't want... Later those same items will be available for free to others(bakery) or less than 24 gems(farm, fashion)

When puchased the Summer Chest the first prize I received was "Catch the Wave" which is a big water wave, then I received the Tropical Display, the Beach Fountain, and the Beach Sarong. (Mistakenly hit "buy again" wish it would let you confirm your purchase before taking your gems.😱)

Don't feel like you're alone I've gotten zillions of pillow stacks and even angel wings just trying to get an item. I feel like its useless and will never get it. Sold many of the items but doesn't make up for all the pricey gems! anyway I feel yr pain.

A small correction to the beach box. The aloha flowers is not an avatar item. It is a stand with some flower leis on it. It is the only box item I have ever purchased. I'm on kindle so no pic.

There's a water bottle display/stand which is 4th prize, the tanning booth that was a teaser is 2nd price, there's a pommel horse (I think 3rd), and a trampoline (which is cute colours but quite small) is I think 4th

Yeah sadly it's one of those good and bad things. 24 gems is always too much for a pair of shoes. The only great thing I think there is about avatar box items is that obviously not a lot of people will have it.

Each 24 gem purchase gets you one item. It could be one of the 4th place items or one of the higher placed items. The boxes are a GAMBLE that u have to decide if u want to take. It's an opportunity to spend 24 gems and get something that's worth a lot more but u could spend 24 gems and get something that's worth a lot less. It's also the opportunity to acquire items that are not immediately (or ever) available in the Design or Catalogue.

Many people are willing and do purchase gems and hit the boxes quite often. Some players never go near the boxes, and some players try once or a few times. I'll try boxes periodically but I'd rather Limited Time Offers because I know going in exactly how much I have to pay to get exactly what I want. To me, it's cheaper than coveting something in a box and trying multiple times at 24 gems a pop with no guarantee of getting what u really want. If there is something I really want from a box, I won't even try unless I have enough gems to try 7 times in a row. I buy gems so that's not a problem but I usually spend them on guaranteed purchases.

If u only intend to go into a box once then I echo the player above who recommended going for a box where u like a lot of the 3rd and 4th place items. More likely than not, that's what u'll get. Do people get a 1st or 2nd place item the first time? Yes, but it's not the norm. Remember, there's a reason they are placed that high ... Because they are a rare drop.

Also, when I do go after a higher placed item it's only because there are a number of 3rd and 4th placed items that I won't mind having. If that's not true of a box, I won't ever try for an item if i hate most of the other items no matter how much I love it.

Remember, TeamLava has its own economy of the game. Regardless of how much the players may think an item is worth, TL makes the call. Don't confuse "cost" with "worth". Each entry into a box will cost you 24 gems BUT it is worth a different amount ... Some higher but many lower.

Oops, I'm not sure now. I thought maybe the 2012 Halloween box was named Haunted Box in Fashion, but now I see there are actually 2 boxes. I guess one of them got snuck into the game without me noticing. I'm not sure WHAT the Haunted box has, but like you I'm curious. I don't want to waste my gems to open it unless I know what some of the items are.

Tell me about it! When kooky showed the items I thought she got stuff from farm mixed with items from fashion. It wasn't until I saw the clothes behind the pics that I knew. But the autumn Box is nice minus those two items.

I got a couch, runway display, vases on a table, and mittens display. The odds of something good are greater I think.

I was DYING for the Cherish Fountain [2nd place] in that box back when it came out. I even constantly cried about it on the forums. I kept getting these awfully pathetic steel roses. Eventually got the 1st place prize of the Love Waterfall [which is beautiful]. But yeah...in the end I got like 26 Steel Roses or something like that before getting the Cherish Fountain. Had it not been for this huge iTunes gift card my fiance got me, I would of never even touched a box. But the Steel Rose...forever holds the reason why I don't attempt a box unless I like everything or at least everything except for one.

Ugh. Just remembering how much I wanted to throw my device at a wall depresses me. Not only is it super ugly. But it's so tiny and stupid, you couldn't ever really decorate with it. Boooooooooo!!!!

I really wanted the Cherish Fountain too, but those Steel Roses were the #1 reason I never touched the Valentine Chest. They are an inexcusably weak "prize" (I wouldn't even pay coins for them) and the odds of getting them were far too high.

@ lambyo: Belated thanks for posting the picture of the Haunted Piano! :) I like it, but what I really really wanted was the Graveyard Girls display, which was "only" a 2nd place item. I broke my rule of being frugal and wound up spending $70 on gems (during 30% off sales) trying for them. I purchased the Haunted Chest so many times and all but once I got a 3rd or 4th place item. The one time I got a 2nd place item, it was the stupid Mouse Ears!! :mad: Just awful luck. I haven't touched a surprise box since.

The Fairy Tale Display (the fairy sitting by a pond) and the Emeral Forest Display (3 girls on a emeral green thingy) were LTO's from earlier this year. They'r not offered anymore. I really wish they'd been offered in the recent LTO sale cause I was never offered the Fairy Tale one

then TL would not earn any money. most of the times the things that happen in these games arent fair (accidental purchases) and with the new slots' prices doubling, i highly doubt the box price will lower or be coins.

From searching post etc last year from the forum..I think the shoe tree the pink one you might see in some stores was in the christmas box..The big green tree I think must have been a LTO..
