Using materials?!

I have tons of materials in my gifts. I cannot figure out how to use them to build a new appliance. How do i use them?

When you buy a constructable appliance, the parts (materials) you have in stock will automatically go toward building the appliance. You can double-click on the box that holds the yet-to-be-constructed appliance to see how many more parts you need to finish building the machine, and you can either ask neighbors for those remaining parts, or buy them with gems.

I have asked, and i have enough parts in my gifts but it wont go to my new appliance.

The parts you're seeing under "My Gifts" is only an inventory of how many you have. If your appliance needs 10 gears as an example, when you tap the box, and it shows 6, then you look under My Gifts and see 6 also, those are the same 6 gears. If the number of parts listed in the box aren't the same as My Gifts (unless you have more - like you only need 5, but have 8), try taking a screenshot of each and posting them here.
