What do the various ovens do differently? Firstly, what does the Easy Oven do?

Do you have an open appliance slot available? If you don't, store another appliance (after you're done cooking on it), then you should be able to buy an easy oven.

I couldn't buy any of the easy appliances, so I bought a sushi counter. :) I will try again when I get an open space or when I am done cooking something.

When you were tapping it, was it giving you a pop up, saying something along the lines of "Ask your friends to help you build..."? Try tapping in the upper left hand corner. It should be able to place then.

Point of interest, the sushi counter is in Restaurant Story and this is the Bakery Story area. :)

Yep. It also slightly helps in avoiding gem traps by not having to tap twice and risk the "instant finish" trap.
