Level Cap Raised to Level 99

The Level Cap is being raised from 96 to 99 in Bakery Story, City Story, Farm Story, Fashion Story, Nightclub Story, and Restaurant Story.

There are no new items or features yet added for the new levels, though keep your eyes peeled: we may be adding some soon!

Many players might notice that their levels will automatically increase from 96 to 97, 98 or 99, since your XP has still been compiled even after hitting the level cap.

That was a total shock. I started getting congratulations for achieving level 97 on my iPad while it was still showing me 96. This is a nice surprise. Thanks TL

i think this might be helpful:

FYI,
in BS, i am 327,043 to level 98 (total of 1,550,800 to 98)
in RS, i am 29,168 to level 97 (total of 1,150,800 to 97)
in CS, i am 4,902,245 to level 100
in Fashion, i am 902,063 to level 97 (hahaha...sound ridiculous?? yes it is!! I am only on level 59)

so there are 400,00xp differnet between level 97 and 98.
wonder if anyone can fill the information for level 98 to 99...

As an aside, i have 1,223,757 xp in BS and need 327,043xp to level 98. That is to say, a total of 1,550,800xp to get to level 98! But in kooky's CS, 2,193,212 is required to get to 98! That is to say, more than 3 millions xp to get to 98 in city! you need, if i am not wrong, between 900,000 and a million xp to get to 96! Do not know whether CS work a bit differently??

Yeah, there was never really a level cap;)The requirements for 97+ just got reduced. They are still extremely high, but those who played forever past 96 just got their instant levels. For those who stopped at 96 (*cough* me), I'm looking at a huge gap to 97 that really doesn't look any more doable than before. Seriously 400k and 1.2 millions aren't all that different. So no, as far as I'm concerned, the soft cap is still 96, I'm staying there. I'll probably log in once every 1 or 2 days. In the mean time, I will work on the new one....for me that's fashion story.

It is just XP(experience points) to level up.

To get to level 99 you need a total of 1,950,250xp!
And yes Stueeee, TL took about 1.2 million xp from the OLD requirement to get to Level 97 and split it into the NEW 97, 98 and 99! Therefore, you still need about a total of 10 million xp to get to level 100! Do you still remember you need the same total to get to the OLD level 97?

I'm only about 12,000 xp away from level 96 and I was really looking forward to finally reaching the highest reasonably achievable level. I was even planning my celebration. Now I have soooo much farther to go! :/ :eek:

Nothing special upon reaching those levels except to show off just how much time these games have sucked out of you (said fondly cause I am so addicted myself :3). What difference does it make if it says lv 97 or lv 99 in the top left corner? Personally, just a waste of TL's time that they could be spending elsewhere (e.g. fixing gem traps, the gifting system, etc) am I not right?

i think it is one of the ways TL try to get players to play the games more frequently. It the past, 96 is the cap, after getting to 96 you sort of slack off a little as you know getting to the next level you need a total of 10 millions xp! With these new levels, players have something else to work towards to (although, like you say, is just another number without any real benefit). To keep players going again... to starting putting the gloves on and start cooking, and use their golden fingers to start tipping again! Do you still remember when the cap level is at 75 (sorry, i do not know how long you have been playing)? The cap level was 75, a lot of players really slow their pace in the game (i started with City) and when TL upped the cap to 96, a lot of them actually starting coming back!!

Kooky, please correct me on the initial level cap if i was wrong! I think it started from 75 to 96 to 99!

Since they've only moved it up 3 levels I'm inclined to agree with u, but because people were stuck at 96 for so long it gives them a renewed sense of motive to play. However now I'm stuck where i was before just with the number 99 in corner I'll probably give up soon. They shulda put it to 199, and put in new rewards for higher levels.

I can understand. After you unlock all recipes and master them all, it get a bit boring. Motivating players with new level works in the short term. You need about four to five weeks to get to the next level (if you play the game everyday)! That is why TL is always coming up with updates! I heard rumors that some goals might be on their way(don't quote me on that though)! Kooky will know more about it! But let's keep our finger cross!!

I agree there should be new recipes for every new level! Especially when the last one unlock at what... Level 65! Most recipes (if not all) would be completed by the time you get to 96-99!

Do not worry, just take your time to enjoy the game, you will get there (to 90 and beyond). I just start fashion not long ago and it is one of the hardest to level up due to the low xp reward for the items ordered!

So will there be any new level updates this year? Or better still, rewards for getting higher? Because by all accounts, the game and profession has died at 99. Anyone official know about any plans in the works?

This is from last year, I found it when looking for info on the level cap. They raised it from 96-99 last year.
Here's hoping they do something with it agai soon!
