Quick question about game!

Ok so im new to farm story but im not new to like other story games( bakery story, restaurant story) and i was playing and then i saw somebody had watered some crops i have and i was wondering what do you do with the water? In bakery story when somebody tips you, you collect the tip so i thought it was like that but when i clicked the water it would not get collected so im wondering how this works?

when you crops are watered, you do not collect the water. when you harvest your crops, you will make money money for the crops that are watered .
