Well, it's almost here! The Great Farm Update Date! The Valentine's Day Content has been removed from the game. It was removed to make room for new seasonal stuff, like what we are soon getting.*This week, the new teasers are from GM. Welcome the Lucky Pig and the Gold Coin Tree to your Farm soon!

I'm gonna pretend it's a grapefruit tree and not bother with mastery, knowing it'll be pulled in 2 weeks' time. Cute and all, but as one of the older players, I still have my fingers crossed for more permanent, non-seasonal items. :-)

Yes, they are at the far end of the gifting pages (but you need to stay on "all" on the left bottom, not select trees, decorations, etc).
They will probably be used for something new to build with today's update.

And I hate new parts. Already had some sent to me even though nobody knows what's they're for. I declined them as I may not want to build it. Would rather wait and see.

I really like the fountain, castle and the gnome - they could be used throughout the year. I am really glad that they didn't make the fountain's water green (although I love green)

I hear ya, I missed out on the Fireplace in BS that matches the log wallpaper and am still crying over it. I've now discovered HOW to get the limited random offers. I have below 20 gems for each game, then I'll get the limited offer and will buy the 4.99 or 19.99 package once the release and pop-up shows up on my game. If I have more gems than 20, I don't get the offers.

So TL thinks they can get away without giving them to me, HA! I've found away around that! :p to TL. hehehe

So now I make sure I have 20 gems or less and if I like the limited offer, then I'll go purchase enough gems to cover it, and possilbly anything else I've held off purchasing until the update.

I ALWAYS got the limited offers until I started buying gems and having so many at update time, that I truly believed that the random offers only went out to those that didn't have enough gems at the time and would be forced to buy them. Others said that wasn't the case, but you know what, it is the case with me as guess what? I now get the limited offers again and I purposely keep my gem count low. To me, that is proof enough that the offer only comes to ME if I don't have the gems on hand.

And yes, I'm still upset about the fireplace, I had to purchase the other one that doesn't match instead. *cries* I've tried for the one in RS but it's a box and I ended up with the CLAW machine instead. UGH, I gave up after that. :(

Thank God I don't like the shamrock flags on the castle otherwise I might have been tempted in earnest to buy the thing. It looks great, right up my street tastewise.
And a huge fountain as a constructable - also nice!
I have over 20 gems right now and got the offer. The one pattern I could see so far is a 20% off gems discount just before the next update and after the time for limited offers has run out. Somehow the pressure with the time limit on items must have increased the gem sales because I haven't seen a 30% (much less a 40%) off offer in quite a while.
Still, nice update.

There's a castle for coins, for real? Shoot, I'll have to go to my game and look for it, I had no idea. Is it locked until a certain level or am I really that much of a loser that I totally passed it by? *facepalms myself*

There was a Cinderella type affair last time I looked. Mind you it's 10 Million coins so it is kind of a reward. (Can't check right now because I -ahem - am playing an animated farm game from the competition. A laggy, piece of abandonware with a lousy crop system no neighbours and no updates that keeps freezing my phone - but has animated little critters and water features so it wills the gaps that are continuously left open in FS)
Anyway, it should be at the very end of the building section in the store.

That castle looks more like a Fairy Tale one, but it is pretty. I like the St Patty's one just a bit better, looks more like something someone would storm for a war.

Ahhh, it was the Vineyard I was thinking of that is still locked to me, I want that, it's so nice.

I do want a bridge Yanochka, but the one from the box that I'll likely never get. *sighs, pouts, whines* :p

I tried for the watermill and would have been fully happy with the bridge but up until themn I never had items double. Then I got my second barrle of grains and I realized I can't take buying chests. And then of course I got modded so badly on the forum that I quit the forum and decided to not spend real money on this any more (although that decisin is wavering a bit - and I do love the mystical chest....) and then I got a puppy so I quit the whole game for a while because I didn't have a free minute for weeks. Right now I'm playing on and off. I didn't end up doign a proper winter design - just filled my inventory with lots of winter stuff - and right now Im collecting gems by planting loads.
It's nice to have a hiatus in FS now and then. You discover lots of shiny new things when you're back! :-)

More in the subject: it is cool that most of the items from this update are to be bought with coins!

Getting gems for installing games is only available to Androids. Apple does not allow it so its no longer available for iDevices.

Before I moved from my Android to my iPad I downloaded every TL and Storm 8 game and got a boatload of gems added to my existing games, so when the transfer was complete I was one very happy camper. Now it wouldn't matter if Apple didn't have the same policy, since it goes by Storm ID and I'd already received all that I could squeeze out of them. :p

Where did TL come out and say there were going to be St Patty's goals? Tomorrow is St Patty's Day, and they just removed the Valentine's goals, I don't believe we'll see St Patty's goals.

I am on Android and would like the goals. You can choose whether you want to do goals or not. If I were on iOS I would be thinking about getting a droid so that I wouldn't have to deal with all the popup ads and additional gem traps. I'm not looking forward to getting those.

I agree with one of the earlier posts. I don't like the fountain or the castle. No offense to anyone who does. I like most of TL's updates, but since neither of these are green, I don't think they are very obvious shamrocks. They just both look very weirdly shaped to me.
