Transferring gifts

Whenever I receive gifts of mechanical parts from friends they stay in my gift inventory and I can't use them. A message appears saying this part cannot be served, so I can't use them to contribute to building things. Does anyone else have this problem??

You can use the parts in appliances your building. Click manage.

You have to purchase a constructable to use those parts. Once you have the constructable box, click on it, and it will tell you how many more of each part you may need.

I have constructable items which I can ask friends for parts to finish or buy with gems, but I also have lots of parts in my gifts inventory which I can't use at all.

See that thread, the first post lists which constructables have which parts.

The parts you see while managing the item are the same parts that are currently sitting in your My Gifts. For example, if you have 5 Paint in My Gifts, then when you manage an item, it should display 5/10. This means you still need more parts to complete the item.
