Call me crazy but I cannot figure out what to do with the materials I receive. I can't even figure out the point to them. Can't seem to get rid of them or use them. I am using an android for the games.

They are used for Constructables, such as the Sushi Bar (that's one I know Android has, I'm not sure about others).

Buy the Constructable (ie. Sushi Bar), then double tap it. You'll be able to use them, request them or buy them from there.

Androids have all the constructables iOS has, but iOS has one more recipe on a few of the recently released ones.

This will get you started on building constructables.
