I can't stand chick flicks. I've seen every zombie movie ever made though. And I like war and apocalypse type movies. And horror movies.

Dawn of the dead
Shawn of the dead
All resident evil movies
Paranormal activity
The road
The last house on the left
28 days later

I don't mind some chick flicks but I definetly prefer horror movies. I've seen most of the ones you listed.

Touch of Frost, try the end of the last series When Dogs Run Free. (I think...Rated 12/A. Contains infrequent mild language, strong horror and fear throughout...or something like that)

The Elevator was pretty good, saw it in theaters.
The Thing should definitely be on your list to watch. I haven't seen the rebooted 2011 version, but the original one made in 1982 is still awesome.

And then of course I would suggest the Michael Myers Halloween series.

A good weepy is "always" old i know, but forgotten. Suspense "a perfect murder" the one on the train -any hitchcock movie really, gore any "hostel" film, horror "salem's lot" all the older movies are better as they don't sacrifice content for special effects.
