I personally don't believe they did this, but I guess they want the cash cow to continue rolling now that Halloween is upon us and people probably won't be buying those much longer.

Please help me collect data for the new "Amusement Cases" here.

For reference so people don't get mixed up, here's the past items from Magic Case and Halloween Case.
These are examples of what information I'm looking for.

Here's the Magic Case items we've seen so far:
Wind Farm (common) - business - 300 happiness
Adobe House (common) - residence - 450 population
Ice Cream Store (common) - business - 600 happiness
Small Skate Park (common) - decoration - 600 happiness
Luxury Condo (uncommon) - residence - 750 population
Fancy Condos (uncommon) - residence - 900 population
Big Ben (rare) - decoration - 1,440 happiness
Saint Basil's (rare) - decoration - 2,040 happiness
Burj Al Arab Hotel (exceptional) - business - 2,880 happiness

Here's the Halloween Case items we've seen so far:
Scary Tree (common) - decoration - 300 happiness (1 space)
Crashed UFO (common) - decoration - 450 happiness (1 space)
Creepy House (common) - residence - 450 population (1 space)
Halloween House (common) - residence - 600 population (1 space)
Pumpkin Patch (uncommon) - business - 750 happiness (4 spaces)
Graveyard (uncommon) - decoration - 900 happiness (4 spaces)
Monster Attack (rare) - business - 1500 happiness (4 spaces)
Haunted Mansion (rare) - residence - 1800 population (4 space)
Grim Tower (exceptional) - business - 2880 happiness (4 spaces)

Here's the odds for the virtual dice roll that decides which random item you'll get:
54% chance you get a Common item.
35% chance you get an Uncommon item.
10% chance you get a Rare item.
1% chance you get an Exceptional item.

So now .... What does the new Amusement Case have for us?

Obviously the population or happiness value of the items isn't displayed to you, but here's how you can figure it out.

1. Put whatever item into inventory that you plan to drop to make room for new item.
2. Go to your profile and note your current happiness & population values.
3. Move the new Amusement Case item from inventory onto your city.
4. Go back into profile and note our new happiness & population values again.
5. Subtract step 4 from step 3 to get your item's value.

What in all these cases?!

Exceptional --- greedy *******s
Rare --- free items
Uncommon --- stupid and costly game (3 versions; Farm, city & Restaurant)
Common --- random disappointments

All cost $5 each, no happiness at all (unless you work for TeamLava)

Oh, population is dropping... See the list of inactve players in all 3 games.

FYI, I bought the Whole game of Sim City Deluxe for $0.99 ... Image that.

100% agreed!!

I've bought GTA IV for the PS3 for $59 and I've had thrilling and exciting fun for months and months (and I still have fun with the game).

$59 just give you 12 magic cases with questionable content with which you can't do a (edit) thing except for looking at them.

For sure I will NEVER EVER buy city cash!!!! I'd rather flush some dollar bills down the toilet. That's much more fun. I can at least see something spinning for a while.

City Story ist a funny game... But!!

I used Magic Case... 3 x Saint Basil, 3 x Icecream Shop.

What is the meaning of this??

Someone who can help me!!?

So now I have 2 x Saint Basil in my inventory! And if I want to sell them, i get 100 city coins.
Should it not be possible to sell a item from magic case, and get city cash back??? Maybe half of it....!?

What shall I do with 3 x Saint Basil and 3 x Icecream shop??

I don't mind supporting the creators of this game once in a while. I've been having fun.
Just bought $20 worth of city cash which I will use very carefully. I don't have any desire to put empire state or saint basil in my city anyway. Would rather build an amusement park if I think it's necessary.
But most of all I really want some kind of ivy league college campus.

The large pics are taken by devices that have the new "Retina Display" capability.
Not sure which have it and which don't, but my iPhone 4 has it and my iPhone 3G doesn't.

I'm sure a google search can tell you more.

I don't get how two colonial houses relate to the amusement park items. I'm not complaining, I just don't get it. I'd love a colonial house, but I don't want to spend $5 and get a stupid looking pumpkin. I'm sorta glad they didn't do a case with just cool houses or I might have had to break my no case rule, ha.

Because you know...colonial represents the inner want for a better society in which we can one day enjoy amusement parks.

...wait, what?

I got the skate park as part of the amusement case. I'm pretty sure I didn't tap the magic case when I got it.

Skate Park was available before the Amusement Case was invented.
I was told at the time by a player I saw who had it that it came from the Magic Case.

I'm not saying you couldn't have gotten it from the Amusement Case.
If you did, then it's available from both (but I doubt they'd do that).
