You're not going to like me saying this, but perhaps they're right, and - hey, you might enjoy having a nanny around. How bad can it be?

It's really up to them, but what I do suggest is that you ask them if you can please help them make the decision (should you feel mature enough, which you must emphasise if you do), so that you cam reach a compromise in that you get a nanny that you like.

Hopefully, your nanny will be really lovely and help look after you. Maybe suggest to your parent's you would like to help choose the right person for the job. Many nanny's really enjoy their jobs and looking after children, and they could be really fun and help with your school work etc. I think it would be nice to have the company too, and I'm sure your parent's will worry less about you. It really may be of benefit to you, your nanny might take you out to nice places too.
I would discuss any worries you have with your parent's and I'm sure they can reassure you. Maybe the nanny could have a trial period, and if you don't get on I would tell your parent's. The right nanny is out their for you they might have similar interests to you as well. I would have loved to have had a nanny look after me, it shows how special your parents think you are and how much they care about you. I hope your able to worry a bit less now, have your friends got nanny's looking after them too?

Same here, add in Secretary/Receptionist for their phone calls. They're still mad I won't allow them their own phone line or cell phones like their older brother. They are 9 and 11, they don't need those things yet and I can't afford it.
