She was just taking the photo for someone else. iOS is starting to get the pop-up Kooky posted. I assume we are to wait for the app store download of Fashion Story: Valentine's Day to get the update. Hopefully it includes what we're missing from last week.

I'm just guessing here but...since android got last weeks update, and today updates came in early for almost all games except Fashion...I'd assume they got tomorrow's update today. So therefore they now have last week and this weeks. iOS users will have to wait for the FS: Valentine's Day version of the game [hence the pop-up we got today instead of this weeks update] in order to get this weeks update and maybe last weeks too. Make sense?

I was just in my nightclub and the news icon came up, I pressed it and it said install fashion valentine now, I pressed install but it crashed, and now it's not there.

Those heart dividers will come in handy when closing off a part of the boutique instead of blocking the door. Only move the racks/tables you want to have merch sell off of and put the dividers as the barriers in between each. I had a hard time the other day working out the best way to block, as I have a small shop, and those dividers would have been really useful. Too bad they weren't for coin, but oh well. I'll purchase 2 and keep them in stock until I need them.

I searched the app store for fashion story valentine and there was a similar app by team lava but for 4.99$!!! Does this really mean we should actually buy the valentine version of fashion story?

I think it's a placeholder... This happened with one of the holiday versions before and it was available for free the next day. So you don't have to pay and it should be coming very soon :)

I really love the heart dividers and the red tables.

Yes, currently there is only one goal available. I can't tell exactly what the prize is either. My guess is a love well [like a wishing well]...or possibly a kissing booth? The little white roll could be the little tickets you get at a kissing booth [even if it looks like toilet paper, haha]. Actually yeah, I just noticed the lips at the top...a kissing booth! :)

I don't like how TL made ads even worse.. now the full screen ad that pops up in other games for FS Valentines has a delay on the close button so you can't exit out of it until you wait a couple seconds.

Just be thankful you didn't get the Steel Rose [4th]...it's by far the worse in the Valentine Chest. LOL totally the first thing I got, of course. I hope you get the fountain [either one]...I'm totally wishing all my wishes towards the Cherish Fountain *drools* Haha :)

Haha, so true. I'm going to put my steel roses out with some Halloween flowers and those poinsettias from the Christmas box and it will be a little sadness garden.

For wearable items inside the surprise boxes, once you get it, can you get it again? It makes sense for regular decor and such, but you can only wear one of each wearable at a time...

Correct. It's not possible to get duplicates of clothing items for your avatar :)

I don't think you can double up on avatar items. But the boutique items you can keep getting over and over again. Just another thing that I don't like about surprise boxes, though I'll admit I've bought a few of them.

I'm so sorry. I personally have never had 1st prize before, and I ended up getting it this time [Love Waterfall] when all I really want is the Cherish Fountain. I'm especially sorry about the Steel Roses, 17 of them? That's awful.

Yeah, I recently asked about that in the box details thread. It really just varies...some players have better luck either way. I personally got the Love Waterfall by hitting Buy Again.

Mathematically, it's the opposite. The odds of you getting a duplicate are lowered when you hit "buy again" because the odds are reset when you exit. I haven't had much luck either way, tbh.

By the way, guys, if I were Connie I would feel really uncomfortable right now to have people judging how much I spent. it's really beside the point.

You're right, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't think of it that way. My personal post was in trying to say that spending that much to not get #1 is unfair. I realize I didn't say that.

You're right, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't think of it that way. My personal post was in trying to say that spending that much to not get #1 is unfair. I realize I didn't say that.

Mathematically, it's the opposite. The odds of you getting a duplicate are lowered when you hit "buy again" because the odds are reset when you exit. I haven't had much luck either way, tbh.

By the way, guys, if I were Connie I would feel really uncomfortable right now to have people judging how much I spent. it's really beside the point.

After the third try I finally got the Cherish fountain! I actually got 2 of them. Also got 2 photo booths, a crystal heart and a mailbox (not to mention that ugly steel rose, too...). I like the Love Waterfall, but it's soo big... Maybe one day when I want to spend $$, I can try for it again... until now, I'll settle for what I have.

Just a side note though, the Valentine Chest will probably go away with the Valentine Version/Removal of Valentine items....I'm forever jealous of anyone who has the Cherish Fountain. LOL. I agree that the Love Waterfall is huge. It will take some creative thoughts for me to find it a place in my shop. Congrats on your wins :)

Thank you! I usually get 2nd-3rd place a lot in the boxes... it's such a gamble. Some people have really good luck with it and get 1st place a lot! Hopefully TL rewards us with a MUCH OVERDUE gem sale... -_- Or a Free Gift with purchase... or Limited Edition item. *crosses fingers*

Thank you all for caring. I went crazy this time, and it was hard to stop. It was like gambling, couldn't stop and didn't realize how much I've spent. Think I won't be purchasing gems anymore, I have already spent enough for this game I'd say. I ban myself already for in app purchase haha. And yes I tried to click buy again instead of closing the box, I usually purchase the $19.99, and the 9.99 so maybe it refreshes even more.. Okay so, the reason why I posted this was because I was pissed at TL of the chance rate, and also to warn those who buy gems, don't be stupid like me, spending almost 300$, and no first item. Last, what am I gonna do with all these duplicate items?? Seriously I think TL should allow gifting items to neighbours. At least I won't feel that bad for those money spent, if I could make others happy rather than just let the items sit there in my inventory.

I'm so sorry. I personally have never had 1st prize before, and I ended up getting it this time [Love Waterfall] when all I really want is the Cherish Fountain. I'm especially sorry about the Steel Roses, 17 of them? That's awful.

I agree! Sylvie4163 and I have been talking about this within the game and on the forums. I don't really know what TL has to lose? They could give us a monthly allowance of trading only 3 times or something [that way we don't abuse it and those of us who are impatient and can't get someone to trade with us..end up buying gems/boxes anyways]. The item itself would have already been bought so it's not like they didn't profit regardless.

HONESTLY - I wouldn't even care if for example, I had to pay someone 24 gems to trade an item. This way, TL profits twice [I bought gems to pay the trade, and the other person bought gems to buy the box to begin with]. The gems wouldn't go to the person trading [they'd disappear like any other gem purchase], instead another item would be sent in exchange. I would at least be guaranteed something I really wanted and could even help out others just the same with whatever I got.

It's a ton of work to implement trading and then their support will also have to deal with players wanting trade backs or getting scammed. They don't get any more money out of it, in fact they will get less because people could get the items they want through trading.

Also it makes having multiple accounts very lucrative as you could funnel items to your main account from farming gems on another account.

Not exactly. They would be able to implement game/software design rules just as they've already done so with other things [character limit, rotation only two ways]. All those things and more are all "implemented rules." I practically work in this field but for the government, not gaming. Any developer can manipulate it's playground to however they'd like it to be. It may be a stretch, but it's not impossible. TL could at the end of the day charge however many gems they wanted for ONE trade per ONE month...they could even say every three months. Whatever, it doesn't matter. They'd profit because some players wont want to wait that long to have a chance to trade. So they'll buy gems and boxes on their own terms. How many of us already do that because we don't want to wait for a gem sale?

A neighbor for example, could only trade once so it's not like they'll be able to send it to tons of neighbors. In a way, you'd have to play favorites, and others would have to give in to gem buying. But I personally would rather pay TL say 100 gems for something that could have cost me 24 gems by the hand of luck...than spend 100+ and never get it. If they wanted to, they could make it so I couldn't trade for another 3 months...and the neighbor that traded with me couldn't either. It's a ton of work in general just to make these games and do "fixes" and "updates" and add "features." This would be a feature and it's not rocket science compared to running their server and fixing bugs, etc etc. In a way, goals already do it by keeping track of when a neighbor accepts requests, or the gifting system keeping track of your daily limit. When you have an item that is constructable, a pop-up tells you that you need materials to put it together. A trade button/square could tell you there are no trade-backs. You can't be scammed because it automatically comes out of the other neighbors game [no different than likes, gems and coins instantly disappearing when collected/used]. The game would recognize that the neighbor really has the item. Or the trade screen could show you what the neighbor has, you could even ask that neighbor to display it first for confirmation. In fact, I myself would only do it with loyal neighbors that I trust and have known for awhile within the game.

Let's not forget that multiple accounts means multiple devices. Either way, both accounts/devices would have to pay gems to make the trade [under my rough draft thoughts]. So, it's all about rules, and it was just an idea. All ideas can be improved or unpopular, eventually TL will have to come up with ways to lure players into buying/spending more gems. A gem confirmation button is a lot more far fetched if you ask me [TL really has nothing to gain from that theoretically], but we still request it and call it an idea, do we not?
