I see many people using symbols such as drops of waters and umbrellas, when they leave comments.... How do they do that?

You need to buy the iemoji app.

There is a free app:: Emojj Free download and then...

(1) Launch Emoji Free and follow the instructions on the screen until you reach a screen that says SUCCESS (it may take a couple minutes)
(2) Quit Emoji Free and open the Settings
(3) In Settings, go to General -> International -> Keyboards -> Japanese
(4) Turn the Emoji switch to ON
