So I'm curious about the catalogs that are going away on the 20th.

So of I'm correct we need to master them to keep being able to use them? What exactly is mastering?

The holiday-themed Catalogs being removed on the 20th will not remain in users' boutiques, even if Mastered. "Mastering" catalog collections simply means you increase your rating for these items (visible from the Catalog screen) to 4, at which point you receive a prize. Users are anxious to master these catalogs before the date they are removed so the maximum amount of prizes can be earned.

Uhm...we're desperately trying to master the white swan and gold sparkle catalogues and lady in red (ahem...ahem cough cough) catalogues so that we'll have as many of them as possible in our stores (for sale) after they are removed...because they look sooooooooo pretty in our stores...We do this in absolute desperation because we love these catalogues soooooooooooooo much and will be soooooooooooo sad to see them removed from the available catalogue items which we can order (cough ahem cough). If only they would stay after the 20th...if only...sigh...sigh...sigh...


What exactly is mastering?
There are 4 levels of "mastery" for each item in the catalogue (level 1,2,3 &4). Every time you order/display it counts toward the mastery of that level.

At level 1 you get coins
At level 2 you get a gem
At level 3 you get coins
At level 4 you get gems

gems? oh you only get 1 gem. just clarifying. :)

Lv2 you get 1 Gem. Lv4 you get 1 Gem. So total 2 Gems for each item (since there's 4 items in a catalog, that's 8 Gems) once completely mastered.

they will remove the catalog so you can not order more .
but you clothes, shoes that you have will stay in your store.

Also any items you have already bought in your closet for your avatar you stay in your closet.
Only the option to purchase "new" will be removed.
