I too was a bit confused, but carry on with the deciding factor goal and make the new drinks. You will be able to cook the candy cane cake after completing a bit more of this goal. The candy cakes take 2 hours to cook.

So after we finish this decidering factor goal and get the cider, there will be a new goal which we'll have to complete to get the candy cane cake and THEN we can do the spoonful of sugar one, right? If that's right, do you by chance remember what the goal to unlock the candy cane cake entails? I'm just trying to decide if I'll even bother finishing them. I've still got tons of hot chocolate and Yule logs to make before I'll even finish the cider goal. :( and if the goal for the cake includes long cook time items such as the hot cocoa and chocolate tarts, I'll never finish by Thursday night...
