Preparing food not getting the Money

Been preparing food and I'm not getting the money. It takes the money it cost to buy and once it's prepared it only gives me chef points and xp I don't get any money.. I'm currently living of tips and bonuses.. Do u get the money as soon as it's on the serving table or do u get it per servings??

You get paid per serving, so it's important to have a steady flow of customers.
