Why do gem costs for pets vary

Wat i want to know is me and my mate both have iphones but yet the pets i have left that cost gems cost more than hers. Why is that. For one everyones should cost the same and secondly THERE TOO GOD DAMM EXPENSIVE. If TL think im going to waste hundreds of dollars just to get pets there are sadly mistaken. It is unfair and down right stupid for them to cost so much to begin with.

This game did have alot of potential and i understand its only new. But with the last update and gem price hike you have totally, well and truley sent it to the ****ter.
