What's different in 2?

I only played Zoo Story for a couple days but I was too busy with RS, BS, CS, and FS that I didn't have time for another game. Just curious what Zoo Story 2 is about? What's different than the original? Is it so different to justify a completely new game instead of just updating the original one? Do people play both?

I am on Android so I can't play ZS2. But from what I can tell from reading posts is you can cross breed in ZS2. The prices are exorbitant and changes often. Breeding times in ZS1 is at most 1 day (I think) but can be weeks in ZS2 and changes often. If you thought the 95 gem panda in ZS1 was ridiculously expensive, you can buy a border collie for 298 gems in ZS2. You still cannot earn gems. You don't have to plant food anymore. Graphics are better.
