Blocking your door...

I have come across quite a few people who block their door when they are not playing and I don't understand the benefit of this? Surely to make money you want all your food eaten while you are gone? Iknow if you have no food then you lose the happiness points, but this rises very quickly when you serve something up again. Am I missing something??

Well mostly the point to block is so that your happiness doesnt go down thats the main point, another point is so no customers will come and eat the food you have, so when you cook more adds up and when you open you have a huge amount of food gathered up.
