XP Points

Can someone answer me a question please. Sorry been playing for long enough and should know by now.
Do XP points get added when you plant or harvest?
I've just filled my farm with white poinsettia in a vain attempt to master them before they are removed and I noticed that I didn't gain one single XP. With over 9 million to go to next level I need all the help I can!

For fruits, vegetables, and grains you get XPs when you plant but not when you harvest. But if you water you'll get an XP from the water at harvest.

For flowers and trees you get the XPs when you harvest. You do not get XPs when you plant flowers.

Flowers and trees give very little XPs and coins. But they don't wither.
