How do you unlock the fruit cake?

How do you unlock the fruit cake? I am stuck at the snowman because I need one gem and I can't buy any gems and I can't earn any gems.

You can't unless you come up with that extra gem. There were 2 new recipes just added so you can earn 2 gems from each one.

Also, I would never spend gems just to unlock a recipe that only rewards 2 gems.

So, you spend 24 gems for the snowman waiter, get the fruitcake and in a week it's gone.

Hope you like that snowman waiter, because the recipe will not be mastered in time.

You keep the recipes if you unlocked them before the seasonal content is removed.

Wellllllll, NOW I need 10 more gems for the penguin waiter. I thought I was at the end and on my last goal. argggggggg VERY FRUSTRATING.

You don't NEED to complete the goals. I did spend 10 gems to bypass Snowman Waiter to get the 2 recipes meaning I paid a net 3 gems a piece to get them but I'm not interested in spending 10 gems to get the clock wall decoration.

Besides, the goals will be removed on Friday anyway, so they say.

And you keep the goal unlocked recipes...
