Earning gems

Does anyone know how to earn gems? I earned 5
gems by posting my id to someone's wall 1 time, but cannot figure
Out how to earn more. Is really the only way to get gems
By spending real money? Thanks!!

Currently in Pet Story some quests/goals allow gems to be earned. Other than that there is no other way to earn them unless you buy gems with real money.
