Watering Animals

I noticed you can water any animals that come in the Halloween case like the cat and owls but I don't understand the purpose. It looks like your water goes down but if you leave and come back your water is back. When collecting coins from those animals doesn't change the amount collected. Does anyone know what this is about? Cat Town...

I can't really answer, but it's not just Halloween animals. The rabbit and some dogs can be watered too. It might be a way to show you were there. I would guess you show up in the event list.
