Batter Power Problems With Restaurant Story

Even after turning off Restaurant Story on my iPhone (double-pressing "Home" and removing it from the list of active apps), I still receive messages that food items are ready or will spoil soon. The iPhone battery life is impacted severely. I have even turned the iPhone off and then back on with the same problem. Since the app is not running, I am not sure how to resolve this problem.

How can the app still be running if it is not in the list of active apps?

I dont know about the iphone, but I play on my ipod and have it set up to get the notifications so that I dont miss out.
I can change these options in the game menu (menu-settings) and also on the settings menu of my ipod (settings-notifications). Give it a try.
