How is that some goals are expired?! We didn't get them on time! Now is asking me for gems to complete an expired order that wasn't my fault I didn't get? Ok, won't complain... I enjoy this free game and I'll try to finish the rest on time... Hopefully goals will work proprerly now!

Started working on the goals which just hit my phone about an hour ago and what do I get? 'we are unable to complete this request because you have already requested from your friends today'.

Impossible!! Since I just got the goals and have not requested any items or for that matter, even accepted any gifts for past 3 days since I've been declining gifts just to make triple sure I would not be maxed out in any way whenever the goals finally did come!

btw, I only selected a handful of neighbors, not all - The goal has a 2 day expiry and it won't even let me send the request! Is it going to be like the farm and restaurant/bakery goals where there was a 2 day delay in requests getting to the neighbors?!?!!

I'm thrilled with the goals that came to fashion story but the 2 day one needs to be extended if there's going to be problems requesting items as there was in the other story game goals.

Hey guys I do not have the goals yet, so I thought we could use this thread for ppl to post the different goals that you get.
note, if you do not have the goals they will be coming to your game soon.

Couple of things to remember when asking for you items. If you are also building the make-up counter be careful . Requesting materials to build the make-uo counter and requesting your goal items
are tied together. You can only send one request per day to a nbr, so if you send out to all your nbrs a request for the make-up mirror, you will not be able to send out any goal requests that day.

You can also only accept 20 goals request /makeup parts combined for the 24 hour period.

Also remember try not to send out a request for the same item two days in a row. If you do, your nbr will get this same item the second day and you may already be done with that item, and they will not get any new items you request and will always be a day behind you unless they decline that duplicate.

I am also going to check to see if this fashion goals will also removed 1-13 .

I'm on an IPhone 4 IOS 5.0.1 I am on the Christmas Fashion Story and I don't have the goals either. I'm really disappointed with the goals in RS & BS as they were very onerous and after all that work, you are required to spend gems to get a recipe that you have completed 4 entire goal steps. I have had some of my neighbors request items from me. All you need do is approve them and it item will be automatically sent to them. This whole request system is broken...it does not work correctly and so far, they have not done anything to fix it. A number of us in RS and BS have asked them to just give us the recipes since they fouled the whole thing up with the update....have not heard any thing about that.

I think it is so annoying that a lot of the players don't have it yet. I don't have the goals. Thank you talbotmax for sharing info with all of us. I know this will help us in the future. I support my friends and neighbors by accepting their request. But I feel so left out like most of us that don't have it.

I think the inability to send requests is a bug very few of us are experiencing :( I can only send requests to neighbours I added after all the goals became available, which is very few people :(

I won a grand opening table and a standee.
I also have problems with requests, I receive many and not all my neighbours receive my requests.
Another problem is that I was asked to buy a white table and a basic rack: I had already many in the storage and I had to display them in order to buy new ones.
And I don't like to be forced to add one mote neighbour, in teo different missions: two more neighbours.

I just got to the last step in the holiday goal and I'm curious about the ornaments. It says collect 10 ornaments but then to the right it says 0/20.

Also, really glad we don't have to check everyone while sending gifts but when it comes to goals unchecking everyone you dont want to request is incredibly tedious. If we can't get a 'check all' box, could we at least just not have everyone preselected when it comes to requests?

if you already have the goals, there should be two icons (one looks like a mobile phone, the other is a heart) on the left of your screen, you just have to tap on the mobile phone icon to access and a list of task will appear. You can do whichever you want first, but do the Fashon emergency and holiday madness 1st. Fashion emergency has a limited time and my guess is holiday madness goes by 13 Jan.

Tip: When you are to ask nbrs for stuff like pink rose, just select a few, for e.g. to ask for 3 pink rose, just select about 6 reliable nbrs would do (in case there are nbrs who have andriod and will be unable to send you as andriod users have no goals at the moment)

There are certain goals that will say Limited - I think these are the time limited ones. I would suggest if you find one that requires you to request items from nbrs, only do one of these time items at a time
to make sure you get everything you need before the time expires. Be careful and on any of these limited goals, do not do any of the items until you are ready because your timer will start after you complete one item in that group.

Interesting screenshots of the goals. I wonder how long it will be before people start complaining that they lost X amount of gems because they hit the Skip button instead of the Ask button! Some of those come with a pretty hefty price tag.

Which is sucks and takes A LOT of time
And I noticed that fashion has a lot of 'ask' requirements!
And @ gitten sometimes the task is to just order it and sometimes the task is to display the item on a rack make sure u got the right part they are asking

Part 4 requires you to buy 5 x $25,000 purple racks and visit 7 neighbors. Then in part 3 you have to get 3 x $30,000 pink racks -.-

If you have any basic racks already stored, you will need to place all of those out, then purchase 5 new ones.

If you think that your requests are not going to your nbrs, delete your game and redownload it from the app store. I had to do that last night.
Also note that you can only get a max of 20 goal request/make-up parts combined per 24 hour period.

oh no. if we have to complete all goals in order to get the last one, I cannot finish them without using gems to skip it. One of them is expand 15x18. I am level 24!!!!!!!! how can I get 1.5M to expend 15x18 without expand 9,11, and 13!!!!!! Meanwhile, other goals need a lot of spending too. buy two cashers, 5 purple rack, three pink tack. GOD!!!!!!!well. it is a game.it is a game.

Here a picture of it, even if everybody can see it in the closet. And a picture of the paw tiles (9 shown). One of my neighbours has also the lips sofa and the Cupid / Cupidon / Amor statue. (I' m not sure I want that, I interrupted the goal, it is furthermore a goal that asks you to spend many coins).

I think everyone on IOS should have the goals now. delete all your fashion games and redownload christmas version from the app store to see if your goals show up. If not email support@teamlava.com
give them your storm ID and tell them you have not gotten the goals yet.

I just finish "love in the air" and I unclock another goal call "undercover mother". that is goal for lip couch. I want to post the picture to warn people. I got two times on the road. if you are total in 8 goals. once u finish one goal u will unlock another one. but the first part of lip couch is limited time again!!!! 24 hrs limited time to display 5 detective coats,5 detective platforms,and 5 glasses. They all 16hrs. what I try to say is. I just click it to see what it is, and the next thing I find out I have only 24hrs to complete the goal.

so, the better thing to do is to know before u click the goal. I place one day clothes before I got this. now I have to change all because I got the 24hrs limited time!!!!!! what a waste.

If possible, it would be great if someone could list the goal requirements for the golden dressing room, the wedding display, love is in the air statue, the lip couch tasks. Basically all the tasks in the goals that will eventually lead to an item at the end. And specify which parts are limited time, thank you! no pictures required, just a list would do. I cannot do it because I am behind in the above goals.

Love is in the air (cupid) unlocks undercover mother (lip couch). As previous posters have said, a few of the tasks in undercover mother are time limited (24h) so be prepared or they expire!

The first part of undercover mother is 24hrs limited time to display 15items that take about 16 hrs. second part is limited time again!!!! visit 5 nbrs, like 15 items and collect 3 items from nbr. also, 24hrs time limited. I complete this part already but so scary to open the 3 part. I wound like to know what is the third part before I open. as long as u don't open and see what is the goal, there is no time limited. they start to count when u open it.

do you all find that the goals in fashion do not directly required use of gems except the snowtable one. But are indirectly forcing people towards using gems to skip. so so sneaky.
example:
1) Knowing that coin clothes/shoes/accesories are oh so rare, and most people would already have got them, they delibrately put a goal: spend 5000 coins each on clothes, shoes, accesories. Ok, shoes were for coins. but theres still the clothes and accesories. To skip them would be 20 gems. TO prove me wrong, TL, make this week's update for the dress and accessories for coins. If not, I shall just assume that it is a sneaky move for us to use gems to skip.
2) All the goals are so costly, with expansions, deco etc. For a lower level player, they may be forced to buy gems and convert them to coins to finish the goals. Or even expand their boutique for a huge amt of gems. So many goals require expansion! I started with over 1 million, down to 200K plus with so many more goals to go.
3) The goals require the display of so many 1 day clothing, for a lower level player with less slots, they are bound to take longer. Bottomline: Spend gems to buy more slots.
4) Limited time expiring goals: I had to redo all my 1 day catalog for the detective one, each tap puts me into the risk of falling into the gem trap of getting items instantly.
5) the still buggy request + limited time expiring goals: With the countdown timer going on and the requests not coming in, people have to skip for gems.

I know that ultimately, the choice is ours whether to complete the tasks or not. Just like the buying of penguin and snowman waiter in RS. but the strategy here is different. Indirectly causing the player to use gems rather than using a gem item to finish goals.

I am sure we will finish goals all together and have a happy new year!!! Meanwhile I learn something. next year I won't be low level player, and I will make sure I have more than millions to complete those goals because they bother me so much this year!!!!!!!!

Ok so I know everyone is busily doing the goals and the catalogue items in fear of it all being taken away before Jan 13. There was an announcement made that said that all Christmas items will be removed by Jan 13, but how do we know that the goals will be taken out as well? I'm sure the "limited time" one of the Winter Wonderland will be taken out (since its a seasonal item) but I wonder if everything else stays. Aren't the goals suppose to be permanent?

I am getting totally exasperated with having to uncheck all the nbrs first then check those I want to send request to! Why is TL so fond of doing things opposite of what we ask for? Gifting can be all selected default but requesting must be unchecked default! we asked for a confirm button, but we got a "COMPLETE ALL INSTANTLY" gem trap for a larger loss of gems?

Poor you!! Sometimes I found it very slow in receiving acceptances from nbrs too! It seems that each nbr can only accept 20 (if I remember correctly) requests which has to include cosmetic counters as well in 24 hours. If your nbrs are very popular, they may not be able to receive your requests, I guess. Try to add more new nbrs from "facebook fashion story", once they became your nbr, then you send the request immediately. That may help you a bit.

I'm honestly on the same page with you/your theory...but just a quick thought. Isn't their catalog items in the closet mostly always gems anyways? Like we usually only get one out of the four items in a catalog for coins....so they could always do just that. Give us ONE item for coins and "prove you wrong" that way...when really I know you mean the whole catalog should be coins, right?

You have 24 hours to complete part 1 of undercover...you have to order all 15 clothes items (5 coats, 5 platforms, 5 glasses) at the same time as they take 16 hours to complete....

When you complete part 1 and get part 2 undercover mother, it is also a time limited goal. It starts another 24 time period.

If done many of the goals but I'm having problems with the "ask" part. Days go by and my request is a zero. What should I do? I have very good ngbrs. When I press "ask" I get a message saying my request has been sent and that I can not send the message again. How long does this take?

yea, but if the clothing bought with gems don't count for the boutique part 2 goal. must be more than 5000 coins. I bought a dress I liked, the blue one for 15 gems. Its not counted. the only choice is to skip for 10 gems.

Actually it worked for me on the Love goal. It was part 8 I think. Didn't specify coins and thankfully it worked so I spent the same amount of gems for the top as it would have been to just skip it.

yes, that one worked for me, that was where i bought the blue dress for gems. What I meant was boutique party 2 where u must spend 5000 coins each on shoes, accessory and dress/top. Managed to goet the boots and swan headband for coins but no coin dress/top. so spent 10 gems to skip.

I am now struggling with 19 Ornaments, 5 Party Glasses, 10 Hors d'ouvres, 5 Tiaras, 5 Get-Well Roses & 5 Strawberry Punch. I found it so difficult to get my requests accepted even though I have around 200 neighbours and been sending the requests for the last 2 days.

I'm on part 6 of 7 for celebrity stylist (red/gold changing room) and just to say this goal has at least 2 parts (don't know what part 7 is, anyone here can help?) that have 2 day contracts from the city flower ensemble! Quite a few parts with ask nbr tasks, so I would say about a week to finish if you are not spending gems to skip steps. So if anyone is really keen on the changing room, do start on it soon. This goal is unlocked after completing the lip couch one which is unlocked after the Cupid one.

I am on part 2 but it was answered earlier in thread:


undercover mother part 3 is have 5 cashers, buy 5 racks. 24hrs limited again. I think once u expired this goal then u will not unlock the goal which is give u the changing room. therefore. be prepare for this goal and make sure u have a lot of coins and empty catalog before open, or find out what is next ahead of time.

I'm so sad, I'm totally stuck on love is in the air and boutique party pt 7! :(

I have been requesting appetizers and assistants for 2 days, and I have more than 300 friends.

I have gotten NONE (!) - not even one!! - assistant and appetizer so far!!

This can't be true, there must be a mistake! I'm not willing to pay 55 Gems for these two goals.

Stop requesting items and you will receive the previously requested items more quickly. Apparently what happens is there is a delay when you send a request and when you receive the answer to your request.
The requested items, when received by you, go towards your daily quota/limit of 20 (?) gifts. So if you need 5 appetizers and you send to all your 300 neighbours asking for appetizer, when they respond by giving you your request you will end up with 300 appetizers which, you will understand, ends up tying up your ability to receive any more gifts in the game for a long time.
If you keep hitting the ask button requesting even more appetisers that just makes it even worse for you.

So step back, take a deep breath. Don't request anything for about a day or even two. Let your gifting system reset and then carefully request the items you need. If you nly need 5 of something then ask only about 8 neighbours for that one thing. Be patient and don't be tempted to keep asking for that thing even if a few hours go by. Remember different players play at different times and a player may have accepted your request but it takes sometimes up to a few hours for it to register in your game.

The other thing is that not all players are receiving your requests. From what i understand, android players don't even see your request, so you have to try to figure out which players are android and which are not, which is easier to do in bakery and restaurant since you can see who has constructed appliances, but is harder in fashion. When tipping neighbours, try to look to see which players have the make up counters or the reward items from the goals placed in their store. If they don't have either, chances are they are playing on androids and you may not want to select them when requesting gifts.

One more thing, remember you have a daily limit of gifts that you can receive. So if you are accepting 20 shoes and sweaters and leggings and handbags (or food and parts in bakery & restaurant), that seems to limit the amount of requested items you can receive. This is what i have found out so far from other players and from my own experience. So as a rule, i don't accept gifts of food or clothing unless i'm constructing an appliance.

Follow this advice and you'll see a huge difference and will fly through the goals quicker. :)

Try to have couple nbrs that u keep in touch daily. when u receive people quest, and let them know u accept already. As u do it more often, they will write on your wall and let u know they accept yout quest too. that way it helps me a lot of tracking my quest. 1 I don't have to send quest to all my nbrs because I don't know who did accepted and who didn't. you will waste your time if they didn't accept the quest.2 usually when nbrs write on your wall and said they accept your quest. you know it should not take that long to receive. If u still have to wait 2days before u get something, that means it is not the nbrs problem. 3 try to use only christmas version on fashion story, and delete regular one. they may share system since you play two different versions.

I finished the undercover mother goal fairly quickly. I remember that on the last part, you need to display 50 fashions. all parts are 24 hour limited time, but they are all fairly easy to complete, as long as you have a lot of empty slots and a lot of coins. ;)

There isn't a goal after the wedding display goal. It was the last goal in that series of goals......do you have the lipstick couch goal? After that is complete, then you get celebrity stylist for the gold dressing room. I finished the wedding display goal today and only have one left- celebrity stylist.

if anyone is almost done with love is in the air, ill give advice about Undercover Mother & Celebrity Stylist (comes afterward) : 1. Order 5 Detective Platforms, detective coats, and glasses (candy shop) 2. (for celebrity stylist) preorder the city flower dress (its 2 days, so it slowed me down :( ). Dont request any items the day you start Undercover mother, because it requires you to request 4 items and all parts are limited time 24 hrs only to complete. Be sure to have plenty of coins, requires a lot of cash register purchases. :|

Love in the air gives you the Cupid and opens undercover mother. Undercover mother gives you the lipstick couch and opens celebrity stylist. Celebrity stylist gives you the gold dressing room.

Btw, in the My best friend's wedding or the celebrity stylist there's a goal that tells you to display x number of dresses, but it says in fine print or tops. Watch out for that one. I didn't notice the "or tops" until after i had ordered the dresses and since i'm so low on cash i didn't want to cancel those orders. You can use the button up tops to complete that one very quickly.

Also, the goal requiring you to spend $100,000 on anything ? You can use it to buy clothes. Right now i have a delay as i have to wait on my 2 day white flower dress in the celebrity stylist quest to finish. So instead of using $100,000 to buy a decoration, i used it to master some of the holiday catalogue :)

I bought items in the catalogue and mastered them while waiting for the 2 day dress to complete. Buying the items contributed bit by bit to fulfilling the $100,000 requirement.

Seriously? 10 Silver Drop Earrings??? That takes up almost half the available slots if you do them all at once. This goal was badly designed, IMO.

Couldn't agree with you more. Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention the 5 city heels in Rock The Block goal.
