Hi,

I've just installed the latest RS App update to get the Turducken Fryer and Chestnut Roaster - fab idea, can't wait to build them! I've noticed that, when I request parts for them, the default is to have all my neighbours selected. Does this mean that the limit of 20 parts received per day, and that you can request more than 1 part from individuals per day, has been temporarily removed? Would make sense as they're seasonal appliances, and don't know how we can build lots in time for xmas without having limit removed! I'd rather ask on here than experiment and find out the answer is no, otherwise I'll waste a day and end up receiving something like 50 Fuses over next week!

Cheers!

Did your update description mention the appliances? I closed down my RS game, installed the app update, then restarted the app. Then when you go to the appliance tab, they're the first 2 there. Hope you get them ok! If not, looks like they're only just rolling them out so perhaps you'll get it soon?

Well its only for iOS so if you have android you won't see them.

Also, Android users will be unable to fulfill requests from these new appliances.

Well that's just super. Because I'm an Android user I can't have these appliances or several other features, but I can fulfill requests to iOS users. How fair is that?

I think this is a racial issue. It's the truth... It's an outrage.

A racial issue? How did you come to that conclusion?

There are so many new threads im not sure where to look. Has this been answered yet? Are the new appliances limited time only? Whats going to happen after the holidays?

If they are limited i assume we still get to keep what we built. But it still would stink not being able to purchase more. I like to have multiples of the same appliance.

Good news. The seasonal appliances will be removed along with the other items in the future, but if you own these appliances before they're gone, you will still be able to cook the seasonal recipes. Best hurry and complete these appliances ASAP!

Thanks for finding that for me. I read in the other thread that there is only 1 recipe associated with the appliance. So i guess it isnt so bad. Ill just make 1 of each appliance.

oh great, this response was time-stamped "Today 12:21am", (not sure which time zone that belongs to...) but i'm still not getting any update for tasks/parts/new appliances or whatever. apart from the device issue (i'm using Android), there's also a geographical disparity?

TL I really hope we get a huge Android update before 2012. You're really pushing it too far right now...

I hope you do too. Frankly, I am wondering how they are going to push through a major update for Android and fix all of the issues in the one they just put out! I have never seen so many buggy apps, updates. You certainly don't see this with other companies. How about the fact that we are using our coins for these appliances and then they just remove them? No compensation of any kind? How does that work? Put that together with all of the sync issues and loss of gems, coins, food, Walls!??! Do these ppl have a clue as to what they are doing? TL has great concepts and artists....the rest...pfft.

You're not missing out on much. Each appliance only currently has 1 recipe.

Yes. That's right.

You make an entire APPLIANCE to cook 1 thing. I suppose that's not so different from real life appliances :p dusty breadmaker anyone?

Does anybody remember how many of what parts are required for the chestnut roaster? I seem to remember 10 of some parts, but can't remember which ones. (I already have one, but goal is requiring I build another...?! Grumble...)

For the chestnut roaster, we need 5 motors, 5 nozzles, 10 paint and 10 screws.

I like how the gem trap icons are significantly larger than the icons you actually want to press.
