Used for new quests. Update Xmas version and u can find new appliance and quests.

does it get rid of the old version do I lose my stuff?

You can DL the xmas version with no problem. Your original game will still be playable. Once Xmas passes you can delete the xmas version and should be able to transition back to the original Restaurant Story without any issues

how do you unlock the goals

Note that goals aren't available to everyone right now, but they will appear on the left side of your screen when they are and each quest has steps for you to take to unlock a goal
