how do I send materials request to neighbors?

I thought I did this once and now cant figure out how I did it! I want to build up my materials supply for when I hit level 14 and can buy another machine but need help!!!

When you buy a machine that needs to be built, tap twice on the box.
You can send material requests that way.

When you click on the appliance itself, a box should pop up that should show what materials you have/need. Then there should be a button that says, Ask Friends. You can also ask your neighbors to send you parts as gifts.

You can place a new appliance so you can request the materials you need, or you can ask your nbrs to send you certain materials.


Constructible materials needed:

Ice Cream - 10 each- Paint, Knob, Screw, Gear
Easy Oven- 5 each- Wiring, Fuse, Paint, Gear
Candy Cane- 5 fuse, 5 knob, 10 Springs, 10 Paint
Marzipan Oven- 10 wiring, 10 Fuses, 5 Knobs, 5 gears

Kooky panda this means that I can't use my materials to build my appliance until I receive the complete amount of materials?

You need to have all parts for that one appliance in order to build. When that happen, the Build It button will be available for you to build it. It'll be greyed out until you have enough parts. The thread below is helpful. Its for Restaurant Story but the process is still the same.
