The Great Bakery MANUAL Update Date: Christmas!

So, although this isn't the normal time for an Update Thread, (being that it is Sunday) I still think we are in need of one. Yesterday, a manual update was released to the App Store. This version, (1.4) was released with TONS of new content! To demonstrate this new content, I have lots of photos!

1. First of all, the menu transitions were made MUCH smoother, and much quicker.

2. The usual small bars when clicking on ingredients and collecting tips were replaced by these, larger, green bars.

3. Some new wall decorations were released, along with a few standing decorations.

4. The Marzipan Oven was released, currently has one recipe, Marzipan, but we cannot see the Marzipan. The Marzipan Oven IS a constructable appliance, and the parts are:

10 Wiring, 10 Fuses, 5 Knobs and 5 Gears

5. The Candy Cane Maker was released, currently has one recipe, Candy Cane Cake. Candy Cane Cake is locked by a "Goal", which we do not know what it means, but we do know that it will be released with the next manual update. (App Store) The Candy Cane Maker is also a constructable appliance, requires these parts:

6. 4 New Recipes were released for the oven, but they are also locked by "Goal"

7. 1 New Recipe was released for the Drink Maker, also locked by "Goal"

8. New Recipe Management Screen, eliminates "Gem Traps". Also instead of just 2 options,

-Finish Instantly for 5 gems.
-Change Recipe

Now, say that you have 10 things cooking on your ovens. If you click on any one of them, it now says this:

-Finish 10 dishes instantly for 50 gems.
-Finish 1 dish instantly for 5 gems.
-Change Recipe.

Now, if you have 4 things cooking on your ovens, and click on any one of them, it would say this:

-Finish 4 dishes instantly for 20 gems.
-Finish 1 dish instantly for 5 gems.
-Change Recipe.

This menu is also a full-screen window, and the buttons were made smaller.

9. New "Zoo Story 2" Billboard. Clicking on this Billboard will give you a popup, "Download Zoo Story 2!" As always, just click "X". This will make the Billboard go away for about 5 minutes.

10. Certain customers now have balloons that have a certain image in them. For me, it is Fashion Story. The customers don't sit down and eat, just walk around your bakery. Clicking on the bubble will bring up another popup, "Download _______ Now!" Once you click "X", the customer will get a broken heart and leave.

Wait. Why is the new recipe management an elimination of gem trap? Now there are TWO areas where people would end up misclicking to select use of gems, one of them even MORE Gems!!!! This is a worse gem trap in my opinion!!!! so what if the screen is larger and button smaller? I am sure people have accidentally swiped their finger and found their brownies instantly completed to their utter disgust!!!!

I see, they added an option to use as much as 18x5=90 gems, even more for those who bought additional slots?

Maybe they should put the confirmation button on customer's thought bubble like the stories advertisement

WOW - The new push to finish multiple dishes for a large amount of gems is a real slap in the face to all the players (including me) who have been complaining about the instant finish for 5 gem trap.

All the requests/pleas for a gem confirmation button and this is TL's response?!?!!!

The new progess bar is large and unsightly as well as the advertisement clouds over customers heads.

New makers are always great but unfortunately, parts requests are not working and the goals to make the dishes is not avail. yet.

Amount of updated coin content was a surprise - Very happy about that!

Very irritated with the new "goals/tasks".... because like MANY MANY people, as soon as the new appliances were available, many of us already bought & built them... yet the goals require us to BUY/BUILD ANOTHER of EACH of the new appliances... that's UNFAIR! If they couldn't release them TOGETHER, then it should be retroactive for these appliances! I already have 4 Marzipan ovens and 2 candy cane makers... why should I be REQUIRED to buy more just to open the goals?? You shouldn't have put out the appliances if this was going to be a requirement! OR we should have been warned... "DON'T buy the appliances yet, you will need them for the goals, and we didn't make it retroactive on purpose to screw you over!" I really don't mind one more candy cane maker, because 3 is okay at this point... BUT I do NOT need 5 Marzipan ovens... I've almost already mastered them, so why would I need to spend the money and parts to build another??? I shouldn't have to... the goal should already COUNT the 4 I already bought & built! Just like MANY people have already purchased a TON of regular ovens, drink makers, etc... so it would be insane to have a goal that says "buy an oven"... especially since many players are already maxed out on appliances!

OH wait, I see now... it's a way to FORCE us to spend gems to "skip" that step of buying that appliance, so we'll want to buy more gems... because apparently that's the only way to access these new recipes. If that is the intention, that's DISGUSTING!

Very bad move!! FIX the goals so they work retroactively for these appliances, and don't make any more goals require appliance purchases that aren't retroactive, because that's just WRONG!

Can people visiting my place see the unsightly Zoo story 2 sign outside my bakery and the Advertising loitering thoughtful customers walking around in there or is that just reserved for the player?
