"Well, it's almost here! The Great BS Update Date!"

It is still near the beginning of December, but apparently that isn't what TL thinks! They are giving us our Christmas Content early this year, so lets all jump for joy! To make sure you can join in on all the fun, iOS users download the new Bakery Story: Christmas version! Remember, your data is stored on TL servers, so you can delete the original Bakery Story and download the Christmas version. Now, update time! GM has provided us with two new teasers this week, all for gingerbread! The Gingerbread Reindeer and Gingerbread Sofa are coming soon to a pastry shop near you!

When I came back to my bakery, the new dividers were gone, along with the 600,000 I spent, and I can't even put down my white dividers now. It seems my bakery still thinks the new dividers are there even though I can't see them. Now my bakery looks ridiculous because those dividers helped to give the illusion of stairs. Okay, right now, this is like Farm Christmas, which I sent to GM. This may be by design. When you place your holiday items in the Christmas version,
you will not be able to see them in the regular version, that is why you cannot place anything over them in the regular version.
I will let you know if I get any more information.

Ugh, that sucks! That means I have to put my old dividers back up so that my bakery doesn't look screwy in the original version. What a waste of coins!!

I think they're correcting it with the maintenance today. I believe it should be like how they did it for Halloween, where you can keep what you have but you can't purchase more. Today's release was kind of messed up and anyone not on the Christmas versions couldn't see most of today's content, and that was not the intent.

Hopefully they'll tell us how long the holiday version will be around well in advance of removing it. Probably won't be an issue with mastery of BS dishes as much as other games (e.g., Farm).

First I am disappointed that we have no new recipes two weeks in a row. And as for the "tons" of coin items... maybe I didn't get all of them... because I only have like 5-6 new coin items... but still see like 10-11 new gem items... so while I see a few coin items, and more than usual, it's not a 'ton' imo... I hope they are planning on putting out at least 4-5 or more per week as coin items, otherwise it will be the same old thing. Also unfair that they put tables & chairs as both... make a WHOLE set as coin... not half & half! If I want to spend gems on tables/chairs, I'll buy a gem SET... it's unfair to tease us with ONE part being coin, but then make the other part be gem!

And to be honest, I'd rather them skip a week of 'new' things and have them spend that week FIXING things, like notifications, which don't work at ALL on the new Xmas versions... it's very frustrating to have nothing in notifications work on these versions. At least the old versions, only SOME notifications never show up... but these don't even HAVE notifications, they don't even show up in the notification settings at all. But since these issues have been ongoing for a LONG time, they obviously don't care and aren't even attempting to fix them!

And also, I really think we should have gotten at least ONE new recipe this week to go along with the Xmas versions... for those of us that don't care "as much" about the deco, that's two weeks of updates that had nothing useful... especially since most of the deco I did like at all were of course gem items.

So far, I have mixed feelings about Xmas updates... some parts are okay, but could be a LOT better!! Next week, we better get NUMEROUS recipes to make up for 2 weeks with none! AND I hope they let us know WHICH are holiday or not, so we know if they will disappear soon!

No one knows for sure.


Added Christmas content will be available for Android fairly soon. We just need to do a bit of work to enable it for that platform, so it'll take a little time.


I can safely speculate that it will be before Christmas.

Yes, I have the Xmas version, and it is visible in that version. However, unlike the Halloween version, some Xmas items are not visible in the original version. I want my Xmas items to be visible in all version.

Oh I'm so frustrated right now! I just purchased a holiday box and then it told me that there was something wrong with my Internet connection and to try again! It's saying that for all my TL games but not any of my other things on my iPod cuz my Internet is fine! This has actually happened a few times over the last few days! I wanna see what I got!!! I'm really loving the Christmas decorations, especially since I was able to buy presents, candy cane chairs, green snowflake tiles, the decorated post, and the gingerbread clock all with COINS! And since I had some gems left over from the time TL gave me extra for losing my floor and wall tiles, I was able to spring for the adorable holiday treats display! My bakery looks nice and festive. :)

I am REALLY bummed there are no recipes though. This makes the second week in a row! :( I've mastered everything else so I'm not actually playing right now and haven't been playing for a week and a half. There are so many good possibilities for Christmas recipes...hoping we'll get some by Christmas...??

I saw the preview in apps store for bakery christmas...there should be yule log, christmas cupcake and gingerbread cake....But you must dl the christmas version of BS, else you wont see the updates. hope this helps. And once you get it, pls go all out to master them asap as they will be gone soon. And if you happen to play FS, try buying as many peppermint trees and christmas cone trees as you can afford.

New food is all locked by goals so we can't get it until they r released there is also two new machines. Candy cane maker and marzipan maker.
They are in an update in app store. The candy cane maker can be built but the candy cane is locked by goal. The marzipan takes two hours to make.

Ok After reading 9 pages of this subject I think i have gotten the following points:

New content to buy for coins which is a plus for all execpt Andriod (because we dont have Xmas version)
Because Android has normal BS we wont be able to view the new content
A new applicance is out but not for Andriod

And yes I have deleted and reinstalled BS on my EVO... Ehhh Bah Humbug.

Red I don't think it matters. You may have to update just to get the appliances. The bugs are with the whole Christmas version. TL will have to push fixes.

The goals appeared on my device last night. This morning when i served the fruit tarts, they didnt count towards the goal so i force closed (on ipad 2), and the goals disappeared!!

I have a issue regarding my emojis ..they show like empty squares and constantly BS is loading ..I got a pop up for holiday box but i dont find it ...Unfortunately i dont have any of the ginerbread items :(
I tried reinstalling but that did not help me ... Can you plz help me in this ..
