Am I reading this correctly? The new 12 hour recipe is 26XP - around the same as other 1 hour ones?

Wow that is low XP for a 12 hr drink. It reads as 26 on mine too.

Its odd. Last week they released a 1 hr drink in BS for 84 XP which is extremly high. They're adding more variation in times now I guess.

I'll speak to the team about the fluctuations in cooking stats, but my guess is that was designed that way to make some mastery levels harder to reach than others.

The XPs help you level up, they don't apply to mastery levels. The amount of time it takes for an item to become ready affects how long it takes to master.

If the recipe provides a low rate for Coins or XP, then the recipe is less desirable. The low desirability to cook these recipes makes it harder to reach the mastery levels since the benefits from the recipe are lower than the other recipes that are available.

Can I please point out that they are different things and only very slightly correlated (if that's the right word...): if you are going for coins/xp, then yes, it is less desirable, but if you care about Mastery (which is the only situation where this might come in), then you make it whatever:).

My original point was that this was a new seasonal, 12 hour, 26 XP, 350 drink. At the same time, an 8 hour, 55 XP, 920 drink was released.

I'm all for lower quantities since most of my games have 100k sitting around and aren't flying off the shelf, but this one drink just seemed drastic in relation to the other drink released. Since both are seasonal, and probably will be removed 12/26 based on recent removals, I'm going to try master regardless, but after I level up for another drink machine.

Yes, they are different.

You might want to mix some recipes because they offer a decent XP or Coin return rate. But if you really need Club Cash, then you will mix this new difficult recipe and overlook the low Coin or XP return rate, because that's not what you care about. You're mixing this recipe because you want the CC from the mastery levels. The stats may be different to force you to choose which recipe to mix depending on what you're looking for (Coins, XP, Mastery, etc).

The stats for Naughty on Ice are actually bugged. We'll try to get a fix for this as soon as possible.

Thanks for fixing the bug - however, all my drinks spoiled since when I made them they were 12 hour drinks, and when I returned, they were 1 hour drinks. Imagine my surprise when I was greeted by that HORRIFYING fly when I signed in (TL , can you please get rid of that giant fly? Too creepy).

I had this same drink going all day long while it was still a 12 hour recipe. I come back after 8 hours and find they are all flies. So, it appears this bug got fixed in the middle of me making them....it is now only 1 hour. So many hours wasted today making this drink....sigh...oh well, glad it's fixed.

I hate having the time changed so that anyone who had them out already gets spoiled drinks. It wasn't our fault, after all. Not to mention this is Monday and since Friday the time was 12-hours.

I also got greeted by disgusting flies.
Im happy with the change, im already at lvl 3 on that drink so Ill be getting pretty fast to lvl 4 :)

Same here! I went to go collect my dances for the night, only to be greeted by those ugly flies. I would have sworn Naughty on Ice was a 12 hour drink when I put the orders in for them at 6pm today. I narrowly missed the "Recover for Club Cash" trap as well (I didn't have enough anyway so I didn't waste any). I wish TL would have told us-Snowy has a great point there. I really hate those flies and sometimes I feel slightly embarassed seeing them:(, so I try my best not to let my food spoil.

OMG! I was pissed seeing my drinks spoiled! I wasted money and time! This really sucks, because I don't have time to master 1 hour drinks, I wish it stayed 12 hours...Well, at least I collected the level 2 awards. Don't think I'll reach level 4 now :(

Note to TL: Please send notice next time! Thanks...

Seriously TL, can you PLS MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!! if you want a 1 hr drink, you could have done so with the next update, not just change whatever content to whatever timing you want and change coin items to gems/CC as you please! And seriously, pls explain WHAT is the rationale of putting up the option when we first enter the game to tell us our drinks have spoilt(contracts expired, food spoilt, crops withered etc) and then give us the option to recover all for 16 gems or throw away, and after we select THROW AWAY, we still see the darn ugly flies on EVERY freaking appliance and we have to tap individually to discard, each time risking the possibility of tapping on 5 gems/CC to recover? so what is the freaking point of the popup at the start to tell us our drinks have spoilt and let us select recover for 16 gems OR throw away when we still have to tap on individual appliances? The reason is simple enough. Everytime we have to tap is a gem trap. It increases the chances of TL taking away 5 gems/CC or 16gems/CC.
You claim that you don't want to create the confirm gems/CC usage button to minimize tapping but i think TL is just coming up with the lamest of the lamest reason to cover up the gem traps!

If the recipe provides a low rate for Coins or XP, then the recipe is less desirable. The low desirability to cook these recipes makes it harder to reach the mastery levels since the benefits from the recipe are lower than the other recipes that are available.

Good point except in my case I don't care about XP. I want the free gems so any drink I make is to master them not for the xp or coins for that matter.

This change wasn't applied for no reason. I posted that the stats for the Naughty on Ice drink was bugged. We're actually lucky that they were able to provide a fix for this bug so fast.

That would probably be a bug. We'll check it out.

@Mushroom, regarding the popup and still seeing all the spoiled items, I believe this could be in case some player wants to keep 1 certain order but doesn't care about the rest, since it's been around since the beginning. After all, if you had 5 orders but only cared about 1, it would be cheaper.

DaojinWildfire
12-07-11, 05:12 PM
After looking into this issue, xSnowyOwlx is right. There are only 2 options, recover all of the expired items, or throw them all away. There is no X button to close the window in case you want to keep some, but not all of the expired items. I'll forward this issue and see if an X button can be added in the future, so choosing to throw away all of the food will actually throw away the items.
