If you go onto your keyboard, do you have a globe symbol ?right next to the numbers key
If you do have the globe symbol we can use that as emoji, I thought with the new IOS 5 update we recieved the emoji on the keyboard. Have you done all the new updates for your iPad? Hope that helps you.
