Well, it's almost here! The Great RS Update Date! It's only a few more days until Halloween, so I hope you are getting your scare on! All of the new content for this week and past weeks is easily available on the RS Halloween Version. So, this week we have 2 Teasers from GM, Pumpkin Porridge (8 Hours), and Gargoyles. So, here you go:

So that's all wonderful, but I think we can have even more wonderfulness. My hopes:

1. A 40% off gem sale
2. Another new recipe
3. Maybe a little Thanksgiving stuff...?

In the mean time, let's all get ready for The Great Update Date!

It's a big American Holiday that originated in the 1600s. Settlers came, had lots of food in Novber, then they had a party. That is about it. We cook big dinners, there is a big parade, and you eat lots of turkey and stuffing. Wonderful day.

Why don't we have one of those...?

Anyway, back to the updates:p.

Its a major US holiday when we have the day off and eat turkey. The next day is Black Friday, when all the stores open at an ungodly hour for big sales.

Well Thanksgiving for me was on October 10 this year. It's all over and done. The world doesn't revolve around the US you know. (This was meant as humorous, no pro American freaking out required :))

So bummed. After you cook it, there is no cute pumpkin on your counter. Just a stock pot.

Um...Thanksgiving IS an AMERICAN holiday. Do your homework...study some history. Thanksgiving is an AMERICAN holiday. So, yeah, that DOES revolve around the US since all the other countries had to then follow us and make their own Thanksgivings....

I live in the US. To me, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thurs in Nov. I know many of my neighbors and forum friends celebrated Thanksgiving in Canada in October.

I just checked Wikipedia. The first Thanksgiving in Canada was in 1578. In the US the first Thanksgiving was in 1621.

Correct. The USA were not first to have thanksgiving. Saying thanksgiving should revolve around the US makes me laugh. (Ps it was October 10 this year)

In little shop of horrors the plants name was Audrey 2, which Seymour (Rick Moranis) lovingly named after Audrey, his crush.

There's the musical movie trivia lesson for the evening :)

No pic yet but I really want to buy it, the only thing is that when I place it it look small like a size of a small chair and I keep uhmming and rring about it. And in regards to thanksgiving here in Australia & NZ we don't even do it, we thank no one lol.

maybe you should have kept reading the ENTIRE Wikipedia article....

"Thanksgiving in Canada did not have a fixed date until the late 19th century. Prior to Canadian confederation, many of the individual colonial governors of the Canadian provinces had declared their own days of Thanksgiving. The first official Canadian Thanksgiving occurred on April 15, 1872 when the nation was celebrating the Prince of Wales' recovery from a serious illness.[17]"
