View Full Version : Why aren't my drinks selling???

Sorry, I am unsure of how to post a pic of my NC. I am wondering if drinks don't sell if the counters are blocked by stools, or tables. I have plenty of people coming in and I never block my door. I have 1000's of drinks on my counters. How can I sell them faster? I'm afraid to make any drinks due to space issues.

I think drinks will still sell if blocked but I have noticed the drinks that go first are the ones that are not blocked.,
From the beginning when the game first came out the drinks sells are really slow.

I don't really bother with my nightclub game due to the fact the drinks hardly sell :(

It's sad that they don't sell very fast. I would like to make some new drinks that are opening up for me as I level but I can't due to no space. I have already had to cut into my dance floor for counters. So, I'm just making things that take 12-24 hours to make to try to clean out some of it. TL, is there anything you can do to fix this slow selling process?

I too would like my drinks to sell quicker,it does seem slow at times and I have no more space for drink serving tables.
I do,however love all the new drinks we have received lately.

Try putting more chairs and tables out:); Daojin posted about it somewhere, I think

They do...but I think tables and chairs do something anyway.

The game speed it set by Team Lava. A few things that will help making money a little faster.

Try and go on as much as you can to reset your music meter. It only runs an hour, but when it is running you are making coins.

Check where your counters are. Make sure to put counters with the highest selling drinks in front and in the most popular location, and try not to have the counters blocked.
Watch your game for a while and see which areas that the customers seem to go to the most.

My counters are all really easy to get to,and I try to keep the music running.
I have so many drinks, need more customers lol.
I don't want to have to stop making drinks,as no XP points then.
Thank you everyone for your help.

I have already stopped making drinks to make room for more...it's going on 2 days now that I've stopped. While I get no xp, I don't think at this point it matters...i don't have the money to expand and getting yet another drink available upon lvling makes no sense when I can't even put them out. I would really like TL to increase the sales....I've noticed every hour that I come back to reset my music, i've only accumulated somewhere between 3000 and 4000 coins per hour. A lot of those drinks cost half that or more and I have 9 machines out and 1 I can still place. I'm barely making a profit from even the high dollar drinks. All of my counters are easily accessable and adding more tables hasn't changed anything. The profit to cost margin is way too narrow...especially compared to the other similar story games. And I'm not just talking about the cost of the drinks...the cost of decor is also way to high for the amount of profit coming from the drinks at it's slow rate. I've only recently been able to expand to the 14 x 17...the 3rd one I believe, costing 1,500,000 and it's taken me well over a month or more to get enough money to do that. I don't want to continue for another week before I can start making drinks again but it's looking like that will happen. Please, TL, do something about the slow drink sales. There is so much I want to do with my club and I can't because of this. Thanks.

I know my drinks won't sell maybe it's the customers lol, I tried blocking my door for days hoping for a quick sale.
Because I wanted a quick sale, I didn't get one. I wish it would speed up.

I really don't have any more room for counters without blocking everything else and the dance floor. I have a lot of counters already. This is really annoying.

so, apparently since my last post, over 10 days ago...nothing has changed and there have been no other responses. Is this something TL is going to fix or what?

BellasPalace1

I don't like that I have 10 mixers and make little more than 4k an hour and most drinks take 1k or more to make, including the shorter time ones. What gives TL?

Maybe you need to add some variety to the drinks you're mixing. If your aim is to make money, you'll want to choose the recipes that provide the largest return in the shortest amount of time. Check out the Nightclub Drink Chart (http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?18078-Nightclub-Drinks-Inventory-amp-Chart-!) to see which drink is best for you.

My drinks barely seemed to be selling at all for over a month. It was really frustrating and I wasn't enjoying the game because of it. I seen someone mention tables and chairs having an impact on sales so as I didn't actually have any in my club, I thought I might as well add some to see if it makes a difference. I added 2 tables and 4 chairs and my drinks have definitely started to sell better!!

In Nightclub Story, the customers will usually perform one of two options after grabbing a drink. They will either drink while standing, or they will sit down and enjoy their drink. Glad your drinks are selling better!

The difference is huge though - before, it had been over a month and not a single counter had cleared, and at most I'd made about 25,000 coins so something. Then in a couple of days after buying the tables and chairs I've made about ?150,000 and cleared loads of counters, making it more enjoyable.

I have yet to find a drink worth more than 5 per...every drink is worth 2 or 5. I had plenty of variety...thus the running out of counter space as the game automatically consolidates when needed. I have recently started just making one type of drink at a time to clear this counter space so an can unclutter my club. I have rearranged counters so they are accessable from more than one side. Nothing I have tried from these forums are helping to increase my hourly sales. I lose money if I make most of the drinks that take less than 4 hours to make. I am now currently trying to max out on the holiday drinks now that I know they aren't permanent. However, the new 12 hour holiday drink, while very cheap to make, is only worth 2 coins per drink and only yields 350 drinks. A 12 hour drink should make more, and be worth more than that. The 8 hour drink costs almost 6.5 x's that, at 1,250 coins to order and only yields 2.6 x's the amount of the other at 920 drinks per order while costing customers 5 coins to purchase. This seems a little backwards. Why does the longer drink cost less on both ends but the shorter drink costs way more? This doesn't seem very profitable. However, since I'm only rotating those 2 drinks mostly through my mixers, I'm not losing anything, But my sales are holding steady around 4200 to 4500 coins per hour. While I haven't done all the math, this doesn't seem very beneficial. The only other story game I play that seems to take equally as long to get rid of things is Bakery Story, however, the profit margin seems much better, though maybe not by much. It just seems to me that NO one has done the math...it's not my job to do it so why do I keep trying? I keep trying because someone needs to address this problem. I've seen more and more people leave this particular game, probably due to this problem and most of my neighbors have quit playing too. This game just doesn't seem very balanced.

I am interested to see what other players average hourly profit is. Can you all please keep track for a few hours and post here? Maybe that will get the attention of the TL dev team. Thanks

Thought I might add a pic to see if anyone can offer suggestions. Yes, I do now have empty counters, but I can't afforde to fill them back up with the rediculous prices of those drinks versus the profit I'm making off of the them. I just want to get my sales above of the 4k range.

I've found now I'm into the higher levels, it does seem easier to make more money. The customers seem to drink more, I feel if normal floor is by the drink counters. The dance floor seems to sometimes prevent them from drinking.
I don't know what my hourly profit rate is though, sorry.

I have to block some counters just to make room for more counters. Some of my drinks have over 100,000 units. I want to master all the drinks, though, so I can get all the club cash I can for "free". I don't bother putting the gifts I get out unless I have some of them already which is only the Blue Lagoon.

I'm also into the higher levels but I am just now seeing the drink consumption slow down. I guess it's just different for everyone. I wish I could get rid of some of the counters, though.

The tables and chairs really don't do much except the chairs provide a place for the customers to sit down. I've got sets around the club but they never drink when they sit like you see in Bakery and Restaurant. They only drink at the counters. I've sat their looking at the counters and the only time I see a "+ x amount of coins" go up from a counter is when a customer was just standing at the counter and having a drink.

I disagree, like I say, when I had no tables and chairs at all, I was selling hardly any drinks... But when I added chairs and tables, the drinks sales REALLY sped up. Now I actually enjoy the game.

Yes, having tables and chairs actually does help with selling drinks. When i opened my new club last month i decided not to put any chairs, as i thought they were only deco. My drinks weren't selling at all. I was making about 2 000 coins a day. After adding a few tables and chairs, now i make more than that in a couple of hours.

I don't know if both tables AND chairs are needed but one of those or both actually increased my income by A TON.

I would like to see more little people than 15 at a time, I keep my club small so it doesn't look as empty.

More little people = more lag. The game is ok to play on my tablet, but it's already slow as heck on my phone. And there are a lot worse phones than mine out there.

When you were a lower level, the drinks you could make were worth less. Tables and chairs are not essential to your nightclub.
