Game will not open on iPad1!

I was in the process of placing items from my catalog and receiving a gem for being promoted to a new level when my game crashed. That was over 30 minutes ago and I have been unable to reopen the game. I have reset my settings, powered my iPad on and off a few times, yet still nothing happens.

Current thread about crashing/force closing. The title only says Restaurant, but it seems to be affecting several games.
