Hey gang,
There may be some connection errors soon in Restaurant Story over the next day or so. This may result in a small increase in sync errors, or users unable to log into the game. If this is occurring, please let us know (preferably in this thread), and we will work to correct the issue ASAP.

GM i've been having connection issues yesterday and today with RS, but now when i try to play it says the game is in maintenance!!! Is this another error or is there really maintenance going on?? And if so when can we expect this maintenance to be over?????

No connection problem, but twice now today, I've put food on to cook and come back later to find empty stoves, as if the game never caught up with itself.
iPad 1. RS Halloween version. Not upgraded to 5.0 yet.

Repeated problems connecting tonight, iphone 4, iOS 5, RS Halloween version 1.3.1. I'd get in, serve the food that finished cooking, switch out appliances, start new food cooking then I'd be thrown out of the game and have to try several times to connect then once I finally get in, I'm back to having to serve the food, switch out appliances, start new food cooking then I'd be thrown out AGAIN and have to start over again. Happened 4 times.
Same issue for me - won't open.I play on iPhone 4S.

This is happening to me on both Bakery and Restaurant Story. It force closes both games on my iPhone 4 when I try to open them. Is Bakery Story supposed to be having connectivity issues as well?

Says needs internet connection but it's connected - all other apps using internet are fine. Been going on since 8:30 pm tonight (CST). Very annoying guys.
Team Lava please post an update on the status of this problem.
It sounds like you were aware it might happen so maybe you could let us all in on why it's happening and when you plan on fixing it.
You owe us some coins or jewels at least.

Its starting to force close now. Bakery Story & Restaurant Story wasn't playing the loading music either earlier on.

Getting a forced close on my iPad iOS5 still working on my iPhone4 except when I try to visit my restaurant on my iPad via my iPhone4 it force close the app.

Then tried Farm. Said there was maintenence and the system will be up in a few minutes. Assuming the other games are in maintenance also.

I cannot access RS or BS on both my devices, iphone4 and itouch. Both say not connected to internet even though I am.
Very frustrating as I have food that was already done cooking a couple hours ago and is gonna be due to go bad shortly, but I couldn't get on to serve it until now... but now depending on when the games come back up, they will most likely be spoiled, especially if I cannot get on immediately after it's fixed, like if I'm sleeping. ARGH!! Bad enough we still have no Halloween updates in BS even though it's less than 2 weeks to Halloween, now we can't even play at all!!!!! What the heck is TL doing???!!!???!!!

GM, earlier i was having connection issues with RS and then a system maintenance message...shortly after i was able to play RS again....just now i started having connection issues and force closes on ALL my stories and now EACH STORY GAME SAYS SYSTEM IS IN MAINTENCE!!!!! Can you please tell us what is going on??? Is this in fact system maintenance and if so when is this expected to be finished (an estimated guess is better than no answer at all)??? Btw, i'm on android gingerbread...most recent versions of all story games.

I cannot connect any of games just right now. Farm, RS, and BS. it said that It required internet online. but I am sure I did have wifi. I am about time to collect my food. what can I do? Anyone know how long does it take to go back on?

Oh and also... all day today, I accepted a few new neighbor invites on both BS & RS... EVERY single time I accepted, it blinked and then the invite was still pending... so I accepted a second time, and then it seemed to accept them... but THEN I got the "Out of sync" message... EVERY single time I accepted a new neighbor. Not sure if this is related! But that was happening all day long, not just the last couple hours.

iPad - iOS 5 - Farm Halloween, Restaurant Hallooween, & Bakery all not connecting at the moment. Even tried regular versions. All giving message about needing Internet connection. Internet is working as I am using same device to submit this.
Upgraded to iOS 5 this morning. First time for me to try to connect. Came here to see if my problem or TL's. Hummmmmm.

RS will foreclose periodically. BS went into maintainence and now when I try to enter the game forcecloses. I am on android.

It's happening to me right now too and as per usual keeps kicking off whenever the pop ups come on. There have been a lot of updates but they don't seem to help much with that issue. I love my story games and it makes it frustrating to play at times. Thanks. I'm on the iPad 1.

Ive been having connection and out of sync issues for most of today in BS and FS. In the last 15 mins, the games won't even open. Very frustrating! I tried resetting my phone and closing other apps but I see it's not just me. I've got a 3GS and I'm running ios5. Don't know which versions of the games I have.
I'm getting forced closure too on my fashion story, bakery story and restaurant story. I'm playing on iPad 2. Pls help ASAP, thanks.

Ok the "no connection" message is gone, but BS crashes before it opens. It even crashed when I tried to get in to it from RS. (iOS 5)

My RS in both version crashed for mor than an hour. I didn't get any message, both versions (regular and Halloween) just crashed after a few seconds of loading. I couldn't get in from other games. How long will this last, MG?

Hmmm weird... all 4 of my games let me back in again... I was able to serve all my food that was ready... now they are going in & out intermittently. At least I was able to serve my food so it doesn't spoil. Still odd outage, going in & out.
As of 12:00 am my time i'm having the same problems with RS and BS. i cant get in, will not load. I hope this gets fix fast. I have food cooking that needs to be pulled, soon.

At 11:30 pm eastern time all three - farm , restaurant & bakery all couldn't connect ..after 20 minutes, Restaurant is the only one unable to connect in both versions. Playing on iPad and itouch.
just try to open BS again, it let me in. enough time for me to collect the food. but kick me out again. well. all I need it that few mins.

Sent 2 crash reports from BS, in the past hour. Froze my device on FS. Android Epic 4G, apps current and up to date. RS had a few issues also but BS is the worst at the moment. Crashed 5 times and when it does hold, cant visit nbrs, then crash again.

My bakery and restaurant both keep crashing. I tried reinstalling but no luck. It's been happening for a few hours. I'm on an iPhone4 and can't tell u the game versions because it won't stay open long enough for me to see. I was already eating frustrated waiting for the iDevice updates and now this. I hope it gets fixed soon! And I hope I don't lose all my food....

Only Bakery story not working on iPhone 4 for me at the moment. I have DOUGHNUT HOLES THAT NEED TO BE SERVED!! Did hard reset AND deleted and reinstalled the app. NOTHING I HAVE TRIED IS WORKING!!

Having similar problems to everyone else here. First it just started with connection problems, but now whenever I open the app, it spends 1-2 minutes loading before crashing. Has been happening for past 5-6 hours. Tried deleting/re-installing app and turning iPod off. Also tried accessing RS through the drop-down menu in BS, to no avail. I have an iPod touch with IOS 5.

Interesting. One of the above 3 neighbors is also my neighbor in Bakery. Trying to visit her in Bakery is also force closing my Bakery. Was able to visit all other neighbors.

I can access RS too now! Although I have no door, tiles, wallpaper! When I browse around to my neighbors some of thoer restaurants look normal bit some look like mine too! Also it doesnt seem as though ppl can access my RS either for normally my tables fill up in less then an hour and its been hours now and they r not full!

OK. I FINALLY was able to get into Bakery Story without the app crashing. THANK YOU!!! But.......all my wall decorations and floor tiles are GONE!! PLUS....my bakery does not have a door any longer.

Farm hanging when opening inv. still. No crash like before and a blank page, but just hangs for ages. Force closed it.
One BS crash report sent once again since last post, as above persons stated; is also when trying to visit nbrs. Was able to hold and close shop in BS, and post on my own wall 'closed till fix n cant tip notice. Crash when trying to visit nbrs also like others above. Not sure if all nbrs; only tried first 3.

All of my story games were crashing today. I tried visiting some neighbors on fashion and it crashed. RS&BS&Farm were not able to connect (although wifi was perfect :) ) Errrrr :) lol

Thank you TL, I got in to BS before my food spoiled. However, I have no door, no floor (just grass) and the wall decorations are gone. I'm happy I got to serve my food and I can live with the rest until you get it back to normal.

All of my story games are perfectly normal.. I wonder why this happened to some of you, guys..?:rolleyes: System maintenance always makes weird stuff happen.. Trick or Treat ;) :p :cool: ... Anyways.. I hope these problems are fixed soon..:rolleyes: lol.

ok.. Visiting my neighbors to do my tipping & bam!:eek: no floor and white walls :confused: something odd is going on.. Maybe it's a full moon:p or just maintenance lol:rolleyes: I wonder when this maintenance will end.. :confused:

Since last night my door, floor and wallpapers are lost.
No customers are coming in my bakery story and also in my restaurant.

RS force closes visiting some neighbors, nothing to the degree that I've seen in the thread so far, sorry for those with worse issues.
I've no doors and floor for my Fashion Story and Restaurant Story too... No customers either :(

My guess is with no response by now; they are currently with their hands quite overflowingly full trying for a fix. Might be better for those of us that know and if able have submitted crash reports with logs, and or invisible/lost items and walls ect. to now 'try' and sit tight and keep the servers free up so we dont lose things by mistake or something nutty, or make anything worse or harder while they are trying to fix maybies.

Forced close on RS since about 8 pm Central US time (that's when I started checking on it). Farm and BS were intermittently not connecting. now 3:30 am Central US time, finally got into Farm and BS, in RS there is no door, no wall decorations, no floor tiles (grass in the restaurant looks interesting). Had problems after getting into RS before with having to re-serve and re-cook food several times. Device: iTouch 3rd gen, OS 5, Halloween versions of Farm and RS, latest version of BS.

Fashion Story
I have no floor, wall deco and door in my boutique. I've managed to place 2 extra doors from my inventory and now customers are coming to my stall. However, I will not redecorate my wall even though I'm able to. I will wait for my boutique to be restored with all my deco.

After the issue with loosing connection and forced close on BS, it's now working but with no door, wall decoration or floor - so no costumers and no money.
But I just go a popup in game with an apology from teamlava and 50 Gems because of the inconvenience. Thank you!

Here either. Wall notifs/mssgs look to be lagging and glitched out on my wall as well in BS; this is totally unplayable. Still crashing like mad. No popup, but ironicly 20 pct off gem offer is popping up though. :/ with push notifs already not working.. Ugh.. Crash boom flop *cry*

Having the same problem as everyone else. I'm using an Android Version 2.3.3 Model LS670. I started having problems with RS yesterday first saying no internet and then this morning it keeps crashing. Had the same problem with BS but that is working fine today. As for FS the game keeps locking up/freezing since the jumping water update. I've given up on my food lol.

Interesting. One of the above 3 neighbors is also my neighbor in Bakery. Trying to visit her in Bakery is also force closing my Bakery. Was able to visit all other neighbors.
Same problem for me. I got into BS this morning and was tipping all my neighbors but there were seven who caused the "forced close" screen. Got into RS and am having the same problem. Not done yet so don't know how many but it's random. I also can't tip any Community players - get the forced close every time. I have Droid (of course we don't have any of the Halloween apps) so regular apps. Just tried to get into FashionS and couldn't get in, it just froze and I had to force close.

This morning I can connect to BS and RS. A message from team lava with a credit of 50 gems for losing all wall and floor decorations. Of course I had food spoil in RS because I couldn't get into it last night. I think 50 gems is fair since I paid for all walls and flooring with money.

If still issues make sure your restart your device.
But keep reporting if you are still having issues and include the device you play on and the game(s) you are having issues with.

I am having connection issues on Bakery Story for iPad. I'm on iPad version 4.2.1 and keep having to force close. It said last night I was not in sync with the server. Losing money, customers, food, etc. Having to force close. Screen loads with a flash of ******s across it. I'm not at the register so customers are leaving. Restart not helping.

I have emailed Team Lava and have been following forums too! I understand they are busy with these issues! If Team Lava can get our Restaurants (or other stories) back to how they were before these problems and then still compensate us 50 gems I will be happy! But if they expect us to rebuild on our own and only compensate us 50 gems that is unacceptable for I spent tons of money and gems getting my place how it was and 50 gems would not come close to covering it! I would want hundreds of thousands back and gems too! Am not touching my RS until problems fixed!

Why is it GM can respond to other "updates and Announcements" (which are not nearly as severe) but will leave us all hanging without any response or explanations AT ALL!!!!!! My restaurant went down last night with less than an hour to go on food being ready to serve. I had hoped for it to come back up before the food spoiled, but my game was unavailable for probably 13-15 hrs. I expected to find spoiled food when I first logged on, and was happy and surprised that the food was okay, ready to serve. This is the first time in a long time that I expected something to be spoiled/withered due to maintenance.
Thank you, TL, for now being able to stop the clock on timed items when servers go down, so that our food/crops/etc are okay when we log back on.

There is NO Halloween version of bakery story yet. The game is accessible to me. Try restarting your device.

I am sick also. I still can't gift certain neighbours,and now the game is constantly just forcing close when I try to visit neighbours. What is even more annoying is my friend,who has recently started playing the game,was given 50 free gems last week and another 40 free gems yesterday,even tho she hasn't had any issues lol. Whilst I,who can't even get on the game half the time,hav received nothin. Jealous I certainly am,but angry too that nothing seems to hav been done .am on level 91 and am now goin to say goodbye to restaurant story. soozym71 .

Wow 90 free gems? That's crazy! I certainly haven't gotten any free gems either! Then, I'm not surprised... I haven't bought any gems. Although, they should still give us ALL free gems to make up for all the outages and LOSS of food like I had yesterday.
I've actually started playing another similar game recently... and graphically it's not as pretty... and still a little confusing about some things... BUT it's not as tedious with some things, and so far, I haven't had ONE thing "taken" from me 'accidentally'... or in any kind of trap! They make you confirm EVERY step, which is FINE by me, it's much safer. Have to see how it goes... if it stays better, and the TL games keep having issues, I'll end up switching and spend my money with THAT company instead... because so far, they already seem like they respect me more as a player than TL does.

Hi TL- I don't know if this counts as a connection issue, but last night my RS was force-closing every time I tried to post on someone's (or my own) wall- I can still tip and gift, but the minute I try to scroll down my wall or post on a neighbor's wall, the game force closes...I've tried deleting the app, rebooting then reinstalling...also cleared my cache...I'm NOT having any problems on Halloween BS, so I don't believe it's an issue with my phone (iPhone 3GS)...anybody else having this issue since yesterday? I'd like to know it's not just me....

My friend has never bought gems ,and has never even used any of her gems that she has earned on anything,so she didn't lose anything. Briguynv,what other game hav u got cos I'm wanting to move over...much as I love restaurant story,iv had enough of the laggy game play,and the lack of updates for android users. I still can't get the sushi counter or badges that people hav mentioned. X

Yeah connections problems have been plaguing my gameplay on RS for a while now (I've always had problems, but it's gotten extremely bad for least 3-4 days?) It especially frustrates me when I set something to cook overnight for 8 hours (pumpkin soup was last night's), only to wake up to an out of sync message and all my soup just sitting there, waiting to be prepared. It has taken *forever* to stock up my restaurant due to so much lost time! Please fix this soon! :(

Ipad 1, i think the iOS is up to date (4.3.5) and i always play on wifi (can't afford 4g lol). The version i'm currently playing is RS Halloween but it seems to be the same on the regular RS Version too. I've tried reinstalling and restarting, but to no avail. :(

Try a couple of things.
Make sure you have a good wifi connection.
First try a hard reboot- hold down the on/off button and home button at the same time until you see the apple sign.(ignore the red slider bar)
You can also just sync to itunes , this sometimes helps.
Go to settings -safari- clear data and cookies.
If still problems you will need to email support@teamlava.com
On RS if you are playing one the games(regular or Halloween,) shut down the other game so it is not running in the background.
