could you include how many harvests you need to break even on them, and also how long it would actually take to wait for those harvests.
- Sorry forgot to mention that the negative profit on the trees are broken down in the tree chart :p .

[U]New info on Mastering Trees/Crops

You're right, zoom, it's 25. I don't think this has been changed - it's always been like that. We had what we thought were the definitive posts on this back in May 2011. I was sure it was 100, 250 and 500 for levels 2, 3 and 4 but on reflection I was never too sure about level 1. The reason for this is that most players will have already planted 1 or 2 of the trees - or more likely forgotten they have already planted 1 or 2 trees - before they get to the point of wondering and measuring how many have to be planted for Mastery.

So, the figures are 25, 100, 250 and 500 harvests of the fruit for Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.

Crops and flowers we tend to measure differently and we use the Leaf Points rather than the number of harvests - 1 to sow and 2 to crop = 3 points a rotation - and these points (unlike trees) double each time, viz 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 for Levels 1, 2 3 and 4 respectively. That's 7,500 in total :( Oh my ! So, for anyone unaware of these figures until now, you now know why the climb from 3 to 4 seems to take forever because there's more work to do there than in all three previous levels combined !

I used Cocoa Trees obviously. I planted 125 of them and will continue the experiment through Levels 3 and 4 although I'm as sure as I can be that they are 250 and 500.

I send a PM to Sehana.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

To Master Crops

Level 1 : 167
Level 2 : 500
Level 3 : 1167
Level 4 : 2500

2500 total.

For trees its 20, 120, 370, 870. You have to pick 870 trees to master it.

And yes, I counted them and confirmed the counts. Now I use the data to help me master a crop with the minimum number of plantings.

How Many Leaves to get level 4 completed

If it becomes a sticky, the other thing worth noting is that you get 1 leaf when you plant, 2 when you harvest.

Level 1 : 500
Level 2 : 1500
Level 3 : 3500
Level 4 : 7500
7500 leaves total to master.

So if you have money to burn, you can plant and sell Red Quinoa 3 times quickly rather than waiting 4 days to harvest it. I don't do this; I wait for all my crops to harvest, but there are some who do.

Formula to calculate how long it'll take to master trees:

Days to master = 870 * (hrs to harvest = 46 for caramel apple trees) / 24 hrs / (number of trees you have)

Mastery date = (Date you planted your trees) + (Days to master)

This assumes you instantly harvest after 46 hrs each time, which most likely won't happen, so it might be a little later.
Thank you nmishii

This is one of several I've seen (the others were for RS and BS), and I greatly appreciate them! Thanks so much!

I'm curious why we use net profit, rather than an ROI measure such as net profit/cost. Does it have something to do with the game?

I tried doing that a few times before, but I always loose count because sometimes I don't plant the same thing throughout. I had never seen that thread before pinkster, thanks for linking it!

Sehana, what information would you need? What if someone did it for you and all you had to do was copy/paste into a spreadsheet, would that help?

sehana
04-16-12, 12:38 PM
That would be helpful, I mean if someone were willing to do that much work.
What I would need is the name of the item, cost (coins/gems) and if XP were given for placing.
But the screenshots would probably just be better as I can have the image and info at once. :)

I won't be keeping these in my photobucket for long, so please take a copy of them for your website. I didn't have time to also split them up, so I figured you could do that if necessary. That only one I know for sure I'm missing is the Vineyard (picture wise), as I'm not at level 70 yet. I figured you could get that pic yourself or someone at a higher level can post it for us. I guessed on the XP for that as well, but I got the cost from what other users had told me it was as I'm saving for it right now. hehehe

Here are the pics. Next post will be the info that you can just dump in excel and remake the columns that this web page despises and removes on us when we input the data. :(

I know the feeling sehana. I had to turn in my final project yesterday for my business finance class and I'm so thankful to see the back-end of it. Now I just have to focus on the final, which will be 2 1/2 hours of joy (note the sarcasm) of sitting in a small room packed with 25 other bodies trying to answer 100 multiple choice/true false questions while doing formulas that no sane person would even attempt to memorize. Because SOME people in class *****ed on the mid-term and did it together (it was open book/take home), the teacher decided that the final was going to be done in class. I soooo wanted to tell those people off! :(

Honestly, on a take-home/open-book mid-term her only demand was that everyone did the test on their own. Why ***** on an open book test??? UGH!

Take home open book, that must be nice.
Sorry to hear that some people ruined that.

that's about how long our online exams are. Most are open book though. but I get a lot of essay questions for exams :( .

Good luck on your exam!!

Slightly related, I once had a Take-Home Closed-Book exam. Seriously. It was for a seminary class. No, I did not *****.

My mother once took part - and was placed - in a shorthand typing competition the final of which took place and was broadcast live on a radio programme. True.

Chart for how many days it'll take to Master a Crop (http://bit.ly/SDFrmInfo) based off of 2500 times to Collect Crops.

Chart for how many days it'll take to Master a Tree (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AirojqZymHCpdEtkb2x5Zm9xRVVoakVqdWNUMTdSV lE&gid=1) based off of 875 times to Collect Trees.

NOTE: the chart is rounded up to the day. So if you actually count some of them out and is actually only a day and a half, it'll round up to 2 days.

Why does the crop mastery chart have 25x25 and 20x25 as multipliers? Isn't 24x24 the largest size farm still?

No worries! The charts you've made are awesome and very helpful when "managing" planting schedules. Thank you so much! :-)

I just thought I missed an announcement and was hoping the max-size had changed. :-)

Maybe I'm just dense, but what is the difference between profit and collect profit on the Trees and Animals chart?

Also, is the XP listed on the animals in the store catalog how much XP you get one time when you buy that animal, or do you get that amount of XP every time you collect from it? I'm trying to figure out if animals are even remotely cost effective.

sehana
05-05-12, 04:03 PM
profit is the regular profit: sell -(minus) cost
collect profit is really for the trees as there is negative profit when collected once. So collect profit is how many times you have to collect from the tree in order to start making a profit from the tree.

hope that made sense. :)

For animals, I believe you only get the XP once.

This is an excellent list, sehana, thank you!! Just so everyone knows, they're Ilima flowers (not Llima :-P) and a very pretty yellow, even though TL made them an icky orangey yellow color.

UPDATE: Just got confirmation. Cosmos, African Violets and Ilamas are all 36 hour. Also, Casablanca Lilies are actually 36 hour as well, not 46 as noted on the chart. There are NO 48 hour crops, flowers or trees at present. Of course, we haven't yet seen this weeks update. We could end up with 36 hour 2 day, 46 hour 2 day, or 48 hour 2 day crops. Can't wait to see! ;-)

To access your inventory: Go to Tools, Edit, then on right go to inventory.

Would like to pose a question for the team lava moderators. When we have reached level 4 for each crop, can't it be sort out by placing them at the end? We therefore do not have to flip through just to get to the crop we want. Just like inventory.. what we just acquire goes to the end. But this is just the opposite. Can it be done?

I don't remember how much they cost but they are 14 hours to harvest, give 95 coins and 2 experience.

I'm assuming for seasonal trees - you are not sure how to know where you are, since you don't see them in store - you can count or just wait when pop up will show you which level you have reached. But yes, the collection amounts are the same.

I can only speculate which ones will be limited. :/ I don't know for sure unless TL specifies which ones are actually Limited.

Should now be updated :) Animal chart isn't really updated as they are mostly for Gems anyway :/
