For each spot watered you get 20 extra coins and 1 extra xp. Watering does not extend the crop life.

Do you get points when you water a neighbors farm or only if they water yours back?

Ok.....say you plant 20 watermelons....but by the time they are ready to harvest....only 10 of them were watered. Those are worth more than unwatered plants. Hence the need to water your neighbors...so they'll water you back.
