WHat is a referral for a forum?

:confused: i was looking at my profile to see how posts i have posted and under it said referrals wht does it mean for a forum? i dont know where to put this thread but maybe in the off topic? if im wrong and it should be sumwhere else sorry!!:confused:

That's a report button, but it doesn't work anyway.
I did have an idea though. When you sign up to a vB forum normally, you can say if someone referred you there. Here, normal regestration is disabled by GM, so we can't get any. But I think it's a feature that, because of the layout of the forum, doesn't work, but normally shows how many people you've "recruited".
